Fortnite leak points to a season starring Sonic, Kingdom Hearts and Persona

Fortnite leakers say Chapter 7 Season 4 could feature Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, and Persona, but Epic Games has not confirmed the theme.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 could turn the game’s established Gaming Legends crossover category into the theme of an entire season, according to community leakers.

Video Games Chronicle reports that Sonic the Hedgehog, Kingdom Hearts, Persona, Vampire Survivors, and several other gaming properties have been connected to the next season. Epic Games has not announced the theme or confirmed the proposed line-up.

What has actually leaked?

The central claim is that Chapter 7 Season 4 may use Gaming Legends as its main theme, but the information currently comes from leakers rather than Epic Games.

In a post published on 21 July 2026, Fortnite leaker HYPEX said the season was expected to have a Gaming Legends theme. The account grouped Sonic, Kingdom Hearts, Vampire Survivors, Ember & Blade, Kernel Hearts, and Kakao Games under collaborations it described as leaked or confirmed.

That wording should not be confused with confirmation from Epic. HYPEX also named Persona 5, Mega Man, Marvel Tokon, and Crash Bandicoot, but did not mark those entries as confirmed within the post. VGC separately cites leaker SamLeaks as claiming that Persona will arrive during the next season.

The leak does not establish how any of these properties would be used. There is no confirmed Battle Pass roster, Item Shop schedule, event plan, or story outline, while the exact form of a Sonic collaboration is also unknown.

What would a Gaming Legends season change?

A Gaming Legends season would make Fortnite’s existing gaming crossover category the organising idea for a full season.

Gaming collaborations are already routine in Fortnite. The game has a Gaming Legends Series rarity for cosmetics originating in other video games, and VGC reports that nearly 70 characters from outside gaming properties have appeared as skins.

That catalogue already includes characters from Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Street Fighter, Halo, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, God of War, Horizon, The Witcher, Doom, Gears of War, Overwatch, and Cyberpunk 2077. Most have appeared as store additions or individual Battle Pass inclusions rather than collectively driving a season’s theme.

The current season, Runners, mainly focuses on Fortnite’s own lore while still including John Wick in its Battle Pass. If the leak is accurate, Chapter 7 Season 4 would reverse that balance by placing outside gaming properties at the centre of the seasonal identity. Whether those collaborations would also shape the story remains unconfirmed.

When could Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 begin?

VGC reports that Chapter 7 Season 4 is expected to begin shortly after Season 3 ends on 19 August.

That timing does not confirm the leaked content. Epic Games has yet to publish an announcement establishing the Gaming Legends theme, its participating properties, or how any cosmetics would be distributed.

Fortnite already has the crossover catalogue required to support the concept; the unanswered question is whether Epic intends to make that catalogue the season itself.
