Manni L. Perez, the actor fans believe plays Lucia Caminos in Grand Theft Auto 6, hosted her first Instagram Live over the weekend and sidestepped every comment about the game. VGC reports that she smiled at the camera, read out unrelated questions and left the GTA ones alone. Neither Perez nor Rockstar has confirmed she has a role in the game.
What happened on the stream
According to VGC, Perez opened by saying she’d come on because “a lot of people want to get to know me”. As GTA fans found the stream, the chat filled with Lucia comments. She kept answering other questions, though at times she paused, smiled and looked around in a way that suggested she could see the chat and chose not to engage.
TheGamer says the stream drew more than 2,000 viewers, and that she spent it talking about her dog and meal prepping. Commenters pushed hard, with one writing that there were three weeks left and she should “just say something”. A clip of the stream circulated on Reddit and X, where the GTA 6 Countdown account posted that she couldn’t properly acknowledge her role because of the NDA. That’s the account’s reading, not something Perez said.
Why fans think she’s Lucia
The theory rests on circumstantial evidence. VGC notes that Perez’s earlier credits include single-episode TV roles in Law & Order: SVU, Jessica Jones and Chicago PD, plus minor parts as a clubber and a blackjack dealer in GTA 5. Fans also point to a close resemblance in face and voice, and to her public credits thinning out from 2023. In an interview with DJ Echo, Perez said she had been attached to a large project since 2021 and couldn’t describe it because of NDAs.
Some fans treat the stream’s timing, the knowing looks and the vocal similarity as proof. Others argue she may have no involvement and is simply benefiting from the attention by never denying it. Both readings fit the footage, which is why it settles nothing.
What’s official
Rockstar has named no voice cast for its protagonists. GameSpot notes the studio has shared character profiles, trailers and extended footage but kept most of its voice cast under wraps, and its roundup still lists Perez as a rumoured choice rather than a confirmed cast member. TheGamer reports that Rockstar sent a strict reminder that actors are under NDA and can’t disclose their involvement until 19 November. The Rockstar Newswire has confirmed the launch date as Thursday, 19 November 2026, and the game arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC date has been announced.
VGC expects the question to resolve itself soon. If Perez is one of the two protagonists, the credits will almost certainly list her, and the game is only weeks away. Until then, the stream is a rumour with a good camera angle.
Has Rockstar confirmed who plays Lucia in GTA 6?
No. Rockstar hasn’t published a cast list for the game, and Perez hasn’t said publicly that she plays Lucia. The credits or an official cast announcement around launch are the most likely confirmation.
When does GTA 6 launch?
Rockstar says Grand Theft Auto VI releases on Thursday, 19 November 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version hasn’t been announced.
Why would an actor avoid talking about a game they worked on?
Studios often bind actors with non-disclosure agreements until the game is out. TheGamer reports Rockstar recently reminded its actors of theirs, though that report isn’t officially confirmed.
