The latest images and details come from Gizmochina’s report and Notebookcheck’s coverage, both of which trace the information to WinFuture reporter Roland Quandt and earlier leaks.
Sony WH-1000XM4C keeps the familiar design
The reported refresh looks close to the original WH-1000XM4, including its folding over-ear shape, 40mm drivers, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C charging. The leaked images show black, silver or white, and lavender finishes. The model is also said to support Bluetooth 6.0, up from Bluetooth 5.0 on the 2020 headphones.
There are a couple of cutbacks. The NFC logo appears to be missing from the left earcup, suggesting that quick NFC pairing may have been removed. Battery life is reportedly rated at up to 27 hours with active noise cancellation and 34 hours without it. The original WH-1000XM4 was rated for 30 and 38 hours respectively, according to Sony’s product information.
Reported price is lower, but UAE details are missing
The WH-1000XM4C is expected to cost €249 or €249.99 in the Eurozone and £219 in the UK. That would be below the original model’s reported €379 launch price in 2020, but it is not a confirmed UAE price. Sony has not listed the WH-1000XM4C on its UAE storefront, and a European leak cannot be treated as an AED retail figure.
The reported launch date also comes from the leak chain rather than Sony. Headphonesty’s breakdown notes that the company has not confirmed the model, while the detailed reports describe September 7 as an expected date. Until Sony says otherwise, this is a cheaper-looking revision of a known design, not a confirmed product launch.
