HONOR has revealed its Robot Phone at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, adding a motorised 4-DoF camera gimbal, ARRI image workflows and hands-free AI controls to a flagship smartphone. The device is the first product from HONOR’s cinematic imaging partnership with ARRI, according to the company’s official announcement.
HONOR Robot Phone: a 4-DoF titanium gimbal
The HONOR Robot Phone uses a Titanium Agile Gimbal built from more than 100 precision components across 60 manufacturing processes. HONOR says the system has more than 100 patents, is 65% smaller than mainstream gimbals and improves structural strength by 200%. Its 2.6g titanium gimbal motor can move at up to 360 degrees per second.
The camera hardware includes a 200MP Agile Gimbal Main Camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and f/1.6 aperture, alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 2.7x optical zoom. A 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view completes the rear setup.
ARRI LogC3 brings a cinema workflow to the phone
The 200MP main camera can record 10-bit ARRI LogC3 in ARRI CINEMA mode. The phone also supports ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks, with processing through the HONOR H1 Image Chip. HONOR says its AI noise reduction improves video signal-to-noise ratio by 8 dB, while dynamic-range optimisation supports up to 14 stops.
The pipeline processes footage in 14-bit 4:4:4 before outputting 10-bit LogC3 and 4:2:2 video. Creators can preview ARRI Looks while recording and move footage into tools such as DaVinci Resolve for post-production using ARRI LUTs.
MagicOS turns the camera into a camera operator
MagicOS adds YOYO Robot Mode, combining subject tracking, gesture recognition, voice source localisation and physical camera movement. Tilt Lock, First Person View, FPV Vertical and AI SpinShot are among the available movement modes. The phone can pan and tilt to keep a subject in frame during vlogs, livestreams and video calls, while gestures can deploy the camera arm and trigger shots without touching the phone.
HONOR also says YOYO Auto Execution can understand an instruction and complete multi-step actions across supported apps and system settings. Developers will be able to use the gimbal and perception features through the company’s open Agent Skills interface.
HONOR Robot Phone specs and UAE availability
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform and has a custom cooling system for extended recording. It also includes a 7,060mAh silicon-carbon battery, 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display runs from 1–120Hz, reaches 6,800 nits and supports 4,320Hz PWM dimming.
HONOR has not announced UAE pricing or local availability for the HONOR Robot Phone. LEAP 2026 is its Middle East and Africa reveal, but a regional launch date still needs confirmation. The company says technologies from its ARRI partnership will also appear in the upcoming Magic9 series.
