Dune: Awakening has gone gold. Funcom’s open-world survival game arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 22, with the studio confirming the milestone on the game’s official X account.
The game has been out on PC since June 2025, where its story was rolled out in chapters. The console edition is not a port with a controller preset: it adds a full single-player mode, a 60fps performance mode and the complete Book One story, all present at launch. Xbox Wire calls it the definitive version of the game.
What’s new in the console version
A full single-player campaign is the biggest addition. The game — story, faction missions, base building — plays start to finish without other players, at your own pace. Performance Mode targets 60fps; Quality Mode trades frames for visuals. Book One’s story is complete from day one, rather than the chapter-by-chapter rollout PC went through.
Xbox owners get the most affordable path in the region: Dune: Awakening launches day one on Game Pass, and it is an Xbox Play Anywhere title with cross-play and cross-progression, so it can be played across console, PC and handheld without buying it twice.
Dune: Awakening UAE price and editions
The UAE PlayStation Store lists all three editions in dollars: Standard at $56.99 (about AED 209), Deluxe at $78.99 (about AED 290) and Ultimate at $101.99 (about AED 375). The Deluxe and Ultimate editions include five days of early access from September 17, plus in-game extras. On PC, the Steam UAE price sits at AED 169, currently discounted to AED 101.40.
A physical PS5 edition follows this fall, published by Bandai Namco in select markets — UAE availability is not confirmed. It rounds out a busy local year for the franchise: Dune: Part Three is set for UAE cinemas on December 17, and Game Pass’s August wave has already given subscribers a preview of the service’s rhythm. Arrakis has a busy end to 2026.
