Tom Henderson expects GTA 6 Trailer 3 to land around Thursday, August 6 — one day before Take-Two’s earnings call. The Insider Gaming reporter made the call on a recent podcast and was explicit about what it is: a prediction, not a leak.

“I reckon we’re getting GTA 6 trailer August 6.”

He concedes he has nothing concrete pointing to that exact date. His reasoning is pattern-based: Rockstar and its parent company have a habit of clustering big reveals around investor calls, because a trailer is as much an investor-relations asset as a marketing one. Trailer 2 arrived in May 2025 shortly before an investor briefing, and its numbers — roughly 475 million views across platforms on day one — are the kind of engagement figure Take-Two would happily read out to shareholders.

What we know about GTA 6 Trailer 3

Rockstar’s website has been quietly updating in ways the community reads as a countdown. The anticipation has had time to build: Trailer 1 set a 24-hour YouTube record with around 93 million views when it dropped in December 2023, and Trailer 2 followed in May 2025.

Fans want actual gameplay this time. Both earlier trailers leaned on cinematic footage, though Rockstar confirmed Trailer 1 was entirely in-engine.

Why the timing fits

The date has logic beyond investor relations. GTA 6 launches on November 19, leaving a tight four-month runway for the marketing push Take-Two has promised. Pre-orders opened June 25, and early reports suggest PS5 orders are running ahead of Xbox by roughly six to one. Analysts already project up to 51 million first-week sales, and Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has separately said Rockstar seems confident about the November date.

None of this confirms a trailer on Thursday. Henderson’s record is good but imperfect, and Rockstar has broken expectations before. What is confirmed is that the wait is days rather than months — more than GTA 6 fans have been able to say for most of the past four years.
