According to Gizmochina, Xiaomi has revealed the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max ahead of its September 7 launch in China. The tablet pairs a 13.3-inch display with Xiaomi’s Xring O3 processor, HyperOS 4 and support for PC-level applications.

The tablet is designed as a larger productivity machine, with Xiaomi pitching it as a PC alternative for office work, content creation and other large-screen tasks. The display is an LCD panel, while a soft-light version is also expected.

The Xring O3 is a 10-core, all-big-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.35GHz. It is paired with a 16-core G2-Ultra NX GPU. Xiaomi claims the graphics unit improves performance by 85% while reducing power use by 64% compared with the previous generation, although those figures still need independent testing.

Notebookcheck previously reported that the chip uses a tri-chip design with dedicated Xring O100 and Xring D100 AI coprocessors. The report also says the platform supports LPDDR6 memory and includes an NPU rated for 200 TOPS of tensor computing.

What the Xring O3 tablet is expected to include

Gizmochina reports that the tablet may have a battery larger than 10,000mAh, 120W wired charging, up to 1TB of storage and a weight of about 650 grams. Those details are not all confirmed by Xiaomi yet. The company has also not announced pricing or a global release.

The Pad 9 Pro Max is expected to launch with HyperOS 4, which Xiaomi is optimising for large-screen productivity. A Geekbench listing reported by Gadgets 360 showed a test device with 15GB of RAM and Android 17, alongside scores of 3,474 in single-core and 13,229 in multi-core testing. Benchmark results are early indicators, not a substitute for a finished product review.

For UAE buyers, there is no confirmed local price or availability at the time of writing. The China launch date is September 7; Xiaomi has not said when the tablet will reach the UAE or what it will cost here. Xiaomi’s earlier Xring O3 announcement and 18 Fold coverage is in our previous Xiaomi Xring O3 report.
