Kriti Sanon brings glamour and grittiness to her roles and is among the most impressive actresses of this generation. She has proved her credentials and won the National Best Actress award.
This week, her Crew is releasing. To accompany it, we have compiled some of her best movies. As always, the disclaimer that this is a subjective list applies.
Mimi (2021)
This movie got Kriti Sanon, deservedly at that, the National Award for the best actress. In a fun and emotional role, something that is rare to mix, Kriti excelled as a woman who volunteers to be a surrogate mother only for the potential parents to go back on their word. Should she go ahead with the pregnancy and become a mother or should she abort?
The deep questions are brilliantly manoeuvred as Kriti, along with Pankaj Tripathi, deliver a powerful yet realistic and funny performance. On its way, the film takes up the themes of motherhood, sacrifice, and societal pressures. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is based on Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! (2011).
