Parkin and Dubai Health are rolling out the Rashid Hospital smart parking system from 21 September 2026, while patients continue to receive free parking during their visits.
Rashid Hospital smart parking rules
Patients attending emergency care, consultations, laboratory appointments, walk-in services or ongoing treatment can park free for the duration of their visit. Visitors accompanying patients receive up to 3 hours of free parking once per day after providing the patient’s details at reception.
Two companions of admitted patients can park for free for up to 24 hours, with extensions available as needed. People of Determination, senior citizens and pregnant women continue to receive complimentary valet parking after eligibility checks.
Drivers who are not visiting Dubai Health facilities will pay standard parking fees. They receive a 30-minute grace period each day for pick-ups and drop-offs.
What the Parkin system adds at Rashid Hospital
Parkin will manage the parking operation and deploy digital payment and parking-management tools. Optional services at the site include valet parking, car washing and electric-vehicle charging.
The first phase of the Rashid Hospital smart parking system starts on 21 September. Dubai Health and Parkin have not published a wider rollout timetable for the remaining Dubai Health facilities, which include six hospitals, 26 ambulatory health centres and 20 medical fitness centres.
Parkin said it managed approximately 268,000 paid parking spaces at the end of the first half of 2026 and recorded 141 million parking transactions during 2025. The company operates under a 49-year concession agreement with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.
The arrangement follows Parkin’s other parking work in Dubai, including its uPay payment partnership and an earlier smart-parking agreement covering Abu Dhabi and Dubai. More information is available from Parkin and Dubai Health.
For patients, the main changes are the visitor registration step and continued access to free parking during treatment. Everyone else gets half an hour to leave, which is a more forgiving arrangement than the usual hospital exit scramble.
