The Apple Store app and online store are where buyers can prepare their selections. During the iPhone Duo pre-order Get Ready stage, shoppers can choose a colour, storage capacity, carrier and payment method; MacRumors also reports options for accessories, trade-in, AppleCare and delivery details.
Apple’s stated purpose, as reported by 9to5Mac, is to make checkout faster when orders open. Get Ready is preparation, not order submission: customers still need to complete checkout once pre-orders go live.
What UAE buyers should know before iPhone Duo pre-orders
Apple UAE lists the actual pre-order time as 4pm local time on Friday, 16 October, with availability from 23 October. Apple’s September announcement confirms those dates; 9to5Mac reports the US opening time as 8am Eastern, the same moment as the UAE’s 4pm start.
Apple has not published an hour for the Get Ready page to open on 12 October. 9to5Mac expects the preparation window to run through much of 15 October, but that end time is not an official cutoff. The confirmed local detail is the order window on the 16th.
