HP has built the machine around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, with a 55 TOPS NPU and a thermal design rated for up to 100W. The 16-inch workstation starts at 4.2lb and is 17.9mm thick, so it is portable in the technical sense. The charger will decide how portable it feels in practice.

HP says the ZBook Ultra G3a can run local large language models, multiple agents and professional applications at the same time. It supports Autodesk Revit 2027, Autodesk 3ds Max and Chaos Enscape, with a 5G option for working away from Wi-Fi. The machine also has an IT-replaceable keyboard.
Perplexity Computer comes preloaded
Perplexity Computer is included, with support for Autodesk Revit through the Windows MCP Connector. HP says the arrangement lets professionals work with project data on the device and use cloud models only when a task needs them. That is a hybrid setup rather than a promise that every request stays local.
