Honor has confirmed that the Magic 9 series will include ARRI Cinema Mode, the professional video toolkit it first shipped on the Robot Phone.
Huawei Central reported the teaser on 12 September 2026. Honor’s caption lists an ARRI LogC3 video pipeline, cinematic-grade gun microphone recording, focus peaking and false colour monitoring.
What ARRI Cinema Mode brings to Magic 9
According to the Honor wording carried by Huawei Central, Cinema Mode packages LogC3 capture with on-phone monitoring tools. Focus peaking and false colour are aimed at exposure and sharpness checks while shooting. The same teaser calls out cinematic-grade gun microphone recording for on-device audio.
Huawei Central also describes Cinema Mode as a fusion of the LogC3 pipeline, LUT colour gamut handling and a full-focus microphone. That sits on top of Honor’s earlier Magic 9 ARRI imaging teasers from 10 September, which pointed to ARRI Wide Gamut 3, the ARRI Look Library, APV lossless encoding and LogC3 video.
Cinema Mode first appeared on the Honor Robot Phone, co-engineered with ARRI. Honor is now extending that workflow language to the forthcoming Magic 9 flagships.
China launch timing and what is still open
