Schools in the UAE return on Monday 31 August, and the best back to school tech deals UAE has to offer this year are live right now. Amazon.ae’s sale runs to September 1 with up to 50% off, Honor’s campaign to August 31 and Sharaf DG’s to September 13 (Emax’s catalogue ended August 20). Checked today: the MacBook Air M5 at AED 4,999 (list AED 5,499), the Honor Pad X9b Max from AED 999 and the iPhone 17 Pro from AED 4,119.

HONOR Back-to-School campaign in the UAE, tablets and laptops on offer

Prices below were checked on August 24 and will shift as the week runs out — Amazon.ae’s deal clock resets daily and stock disappears at the sharp end. If the school list is laptops, tablets or phones, this is the week to buy.

Amazon.ae’s sale is the widest net: up to 30% off electronics — smartphones, laptops, tablets, headphones, printers and gaming consoles from Samsung, Apple, Sony, Bose, ASUS and Anker — plus up to 50% off fashion, school essentials and lunchbox staples, with deals from Amazon’s US, UK and Germany stores via the Global Store. Back to school tech deals UAE: the laptops worth your money

The MacBook Air M5 (13-inch, 16GB, 512GB) is at AED 4,999 on Amazon.ae against a AED 5,499 list price. It is still the student default: all-day battery, silent, no charger drama. If an M5 MacBook Air is on the list, our MacBook for students guide settles the Air-versus-Neo-versus-Pro question, and the setup guide covers the first hour.

HP’s OmniBook 5 Flip at AED 3,799 was the cheapest way into a Copilot+ convertible this month, and the OmniBook X Flip at AED 4,199 undercut last year’s equivalent — but Emax’s catalogue ended August 20, so those prices are gone unless in-store stock clearance continues. Student prices on the Vivobook Go 14 and Yoga Slim 7 need ID verification if you can still find them.

Separately, ASUS is bundling three months of Google AI Pro (5TB storage) and a one-year warranty extension for AED 1 on select laptops through its UAE e-shop, along with access to the ASUS Education Store. The Google AI bundle ends when the campaign does — worth checking into if the list has an ASUS machine on it.

Tablets: Honor’s campaign is the story

The Honor Pad X9b Max leads Honor’s UAE back-to-school campaign at from AED 999 (Amazon.ae has the 4+128 config at AED 945.96). It is a 13-inch 2.5K 120Hz panel with a 10,100mAh battery and up to 18GB of combined RAM, and the Paperlike edition ships with a keyboard in the box. For note-taking and lectures it is hard to beat at that price.

The Honor Pad 10 at AED 1,349 with a voucher and keyboard included is the family pick; the Pad X8b at from AED 619 is the budget one. Honor’s offers run to August 31 across its e-shop and retailers, per Review Central ME.

Headphones and earbuds

Honor’s Earbuds 4 are AED 169 during the campaign: 50dB hybrid ANC, AI call noise cancellation and up to 46 hours of battery. Amazon.ae’s sale covers headphones and portable chargers within its electronics discounts, which is where the over-ear noise-cancelling money goes if lectures are in shared rooms.

Sonos is running its own back-to-school offer to August 30, up to 20% off portable speakers and headphones, and Amazon.ae prices already reflect it. The Sonos Ace headphones are AED 1,479 against a AED 1,849 list, and the Sonos Roam 2 portable speaker is AED 652 against AED 849. The Ace is the over-ear pick if the budget runs to it; the Roam 2 survives dorm life. The Anker Zolo power bank, 10,000mAh with a built-in USB-C cable, is AED 99 on Amazon.ae against a AED 149 list — the accessory that stops the phone dying between lectures and the library.

Phones: Apple and Honor both have live deals

On Amazon.ae right now, the iPhone 17 Pro Max (256GB) is from AED 4,489 against a AED 5,099 list, and the iPhone 17 Pro (256GB) is from AED 4,119 against AED 4,699. Honor’s X9d (12+256) drops to AED 1,349 with a AED 150 voucher and six months of accidental damage protection. The iPhone prices matter more than usual this month: Apple raised iPhone 17 prices on Monday, per tbreak’s earlier coverage, so the discount partly gives back the increase.

One printer earns its place: the HP Smart Tank 795 is AED 999 on Amazon.ae against a AED 1,349 list price. Ink-tank printers keep the cost per page down, and every assignment eventually comes home to be printed.

Student extras that stack

Sharaf DG’s back-to-school run (to September 13) adds 5% off for students and teachers on Windows laptops priced AED 3,000 and above, capped at AED 200 — Grade 12 and up, ID verified — plus a daily draw that refunds one buyer’s purchase value up to AED 5,000, 43 winners in total. Emax has student pricing on select models. Microsoft 365 Personal and Family each carry AED 100 off at Emax when bought with any laptop.

On Amazon.ae, the stacking goes further: up to 6% back with the Amazon Card, instant discounts with ADIB and ADCB cards, four payments with Tabby or Tamara, 0% bank instalments at checkout, and code BTS15 for up to 25% off Amazon Bazaar orders over AED 100 (35% over AED 200). Prime members get free delivery on Amazon Now, Rush 2-hour and same-day orders. Full terms on Sharaf DG’s offers page.

What to buy now, and what can wait

With schools back on 31 August, laptops and tablets are the ones to buy now — Amazon.ae’s sale is the widest selection and Honor’s campaign ends August 31; neither is likely to improve after September 1. Sharaf DG runs to September 13, so that one can wait. The back to school tech deals UAE shoppers get this season are sharpest in the final week, so act before the school gates open. The one check before checkout: UAE version versus international stock, and the warranty that comes with each.

Last year’s back-to-school laptop roundup is still up if you want the 2025 baseline, and the MacBook Air M5 versus MacBook Neo comparison covers the AED 2,000 question for students who can stretch.

When is the Amazon.ae back to school sale in 2026?

The Back to School Sale runs August 21 to September 1, with discounts of up to 50% across more than 30 categories. Deals span electronics, school essentials, fashion and groceries, and the collection is live at amazon.ae/backtoschool.

What is the best back to school laptop deal in the UAE in 2026?

The MacBook Air M5 (13-inch, 16GB, 512GB) at AED 4,999 on Amazon.ae is the strongest all-round student laptop deal for 2026. Emax’s back-to-school catalogue ended August 20, so the Windows picks from that campaign (HP OmniBook 5 Flip, ASUS Vivobook S14) are no longer guaranteed at those prices — compare live Amazon.ae laptop deals before buying.

Is the Honor Pad X9b Max good for school?

Yes for note-taking and lectures. It is a 13-inch 2.5K 120Hz tablet with a 10,100mAh battery, up to 18GB of combined RAM and an IMAX Enhanced display, from AED 999 during Honor’s back-to-school campaign. The Paperlike edition adds an anti-glare display and an in-box keyboard.

Do student discounts stack with back to school sale prices in the UAE?

Sometimes. Sharaf DG’s extra 5% for students and teachers (capped at AED 200, on Windows laptops AED 3,000 and above) combines with its daily purchase-back draw. Emax’s student pricing ended with its catalogue on August 20. Amazon.ae’s sale prices do not need a student ID.

How long do the back to school tech deals run in the UAE?

Amazon.ae’s sale runs to September 1, Honor’s campaign ends August 31, Emax’s catalogue ended August 20 and Sharaf DG’s runs to September 13. With schools back on 31 August, laptop and tablet prices are unlikely to improve after September 1.

Can I pay for back to school tech in instalments in the UAE?

Yes. Amazon.ae offers four payments with Tabby or Tamara and 0% instalment plans from a range of banks, plus up to 6% back with the Amazon Card and instant discounts with ADIB and ADCB cards. Honor’s e-shop offers interest-free monthly payments on select items, and Sharaf DG offers EMI options through major UAE banks.
