Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China, pairing dual 200MP Leica cameras with rear OLED displays and silicon-carbon batteries up to 8,500mAh. The two phones go on sale in China immediately, while Xiaomi has not confirmed UAE pricing or availability.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and Pro specifications
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch OLED display, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro uses a 6.4-inch panel. Both screens support adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, peak brightness of 4,000 nits and 0.99mm bezels. Each phone also adds a rear OLED display: 2.9 inches on the Pro Max and 2.7 inches on the Pro.
The rear screens can show notifications, controls, mini-games and custom cards. Xiaomi says more than 100 cards are available at launch. Hardware-level privacy controls can restrict side viewing and protect sensitive apps, giving the phones a feature that is less glamorous than a camera megapixel but more useful on a crowded train.
Both models use a Leica-branded triple-camera system with a 200MP main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide. The telephoto offers 3.2x optical zoom, up to 12.8x lossless zoom and a 75mm portrait mode. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and Pro also run HyperOS 4 and include an AI button for privacy controls, voice notes and Xiaomi’s assistant.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max price and UAE availability
The Xiaomi 18 Pro starts at 5,999 yuan for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max starts at 6,999 yuan with the same memory and storage configuration. Higher variants reach 8,999 yuan for the Pro and 9,999 yuan for the Pro Max with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, according to GizmoChina’s launch report.
The phones are available in China in black, white, Ice Peach Pink and Galaxy Blue, with a transparent edition also listed. Tech Advisor’s pre-launch report had already reported the 7,000mAh and 8,500mAh battery capacities, but global launch plans were not confirmed at the time.
Xiaomi has not announced a UAE launch date, local pricing or regional availability.
