Taggy and Reloved have merged under the Taggy brand, combining two UAE fashion-resale platforms. Reloved founder Annie Stacey will join Taggy as chief operating officer, while existing Reloved users will be offered a route to move their accounts and products across.

Taggy Reloved merger brings two UAE resale communities together

Taggy says it has more than 8,100 registered users and over 9,000 items listed. Reloved, founded by Stacey in 2024, built a community of about 3,000 customers and sellers around buying and selling pre-loved fashion in the UAE.

Mark Leeming, Taggy’s founder, said the businesses had been working towards the same goal from different angles. He said Stacey’s knowledge of the UAE market would sit alongside Taggy’s technology and platform infrastructure.

“Taggy and Reloved have been working towards the same goal from different angles, so bringing the two businesses together made complete sense.”

The companies began conversations in mid-June and started the merger process in early July. Both will now operate under Taggy, with the combined business planning to invest in technology, customer experience and services for UAE buyers and sellers.

What happens to Reloved users after the merger?

Existing Reloved customers will be given the opportunity to transition their accounts and products to Taggy. The companies have not announced a transition date, changes to seller terms or the financial terms of the deal.

Stacey said the merger was an evolution of the work started at Reloved. Her new role gives Taggy an executive with direct experience of the local resale market, while the platform says it will focus on simplifying listings and helping shoppers discover pre-owned fashion.

The Taggy Reloved merger adds another local platform combination to a resale market that has been attracting wider interest from UAE shoppers. Reloved previously told Tbreak about the challenges of building a circular-shopping community in the UAE, before the two companies joined forces. Grazia Middle East profiled Stacey and Reloved, while The National reported on the UAE’s wider pre-loved fashion market.

The companies have not announced whether the Taggy brand will absorb all Reloved services immediately. For now, both the brand arrangement and the customer transition remain subject to the details shared with their communities.
