LG has put stc tv on the webOS home screen in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain. The stc group streaming service arrives as a dedicated Quick Access tile, and new subscribers with LG TVs in those three markets get three months free, per the announcement.
What does Quick Access do?
The tile launches stc tv directly from the home screen, so viewers skip the app row. Popular titles, new releases and personalised recommendations appear on the home screen itself, and navigation is tuned for the Magic Remote. stc tv was already installable on LG TVs through the app store; the tile is what is new. LG says the feature is live now on its 2026 TV line-up and earlier webOS models in the three markets.
What is stc tv?
stc tv is stc group’s streaming arm: local and international films and series, Saudi productions, live channels and sports. It is bundled into many stc plans — free with Mofawtar and Tamayouz mobile packages, and included with Baity fibre, which also folds in Netflix, Shahid and Disney+. Customers outside those plans can take a SAR 15-a-month offer.
Why the home screen is filling up
This is the latest of LG’s regional webOS deals. In June it expanded its WATCH IT partnership with eight new Arabic channels across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan, and it brought LG Channels to the UAE earlier this year.
GCC households already average three video-on-demand subscriptions — second only to the United States, per an Oliver Wyman survey cited by LG. The GCC smart TV market is forecast to grow from USD 5.85 billion in 2024 to USD 16.36 billion by 2033, per Research and Markets via the release.
What about the UAE?
stc tv works here: the app is on UAE app stores and stc’s terms list the UAE among access countries. But subscriptions must originate in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Bahrain, and the Quick Access tile and the free-trial offer are limited to those three markets. LG has not said whether the tile will reach UAE screens; for now the app does the job.

The stc tv app works in the UAE and stc’s terms allow access from here, but subscriptions must originate in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Bahrain. The new Quick Access tile on LG webOS home screens and its three-month trial are limited to those three markets; LG has not announced a UAE rollout.
