Konami has released nearly 20 minutes of new Silent Hill: Townfall gameplay, showing puzzle solving, the CRTV device and the game’s first monster encounter, per Video Games Chronicle.
Silent Hill: Townfall gameplay: what the new footage shows
The footage, split into five chapters, covers two sections of the game. It opens with protagonist Simon exploring the village of St Amelia, using the CRTV — Townfall’s version of the radio or phone from earlier Silent Hill games — to pick up clues on where to go next.

He then visits the home of Zoe, a nurse who lives in the village. Simon has come to St Amelia because Zoe’s voice has been calling him back to the island — even though he does not recognise the town and has never met her.
The footage ends with Simon’s first encounter with one of the game’s monsters, as he hides behind a wall and uses the CRTV to track its position, per PlayStation Blog’s hands-on report. The second half shifts to the Otherworld, where Simon attacks enemies with a pistol before exploring a tenement building.
Silent Hill: Townfall launches on September 24 on PS5 and PC, announced on PlayStation Blog. It is developed by Scottish studio Screen Burn and set in St Amelia, a fictional fishing village based on a real village in Fife.
The new footage follows Game Science’s 15-minute Black Myth: Zhong Kui trailer and the When Sirens Fall Silent gameplay reveal in a run of long gameplay drops this month.
