Samsung’s first clip-on Galaxy Buds could launch soon after the unreleased Galaxy Buds On cleared US FCC certification. The filing identifies the device as model SM-U600, but Samsung has not announced the earbuds or confirmed the name.

The FCC authorisation dated September 15 identifies SM-U600 as a Bluetooth headset. The paperwork lists EDR, Bluetooth Low Energy and Qualcomm High Speed modes, which could point to higher-resolution audio support. That codec detail is an inference, not a Samsung specification.

Samsung Galaxy Buds On design and reported features

Reports describe the Samsung Galaxy Buds On as open-ear earbuds that clip around the outer ear instead of sealing the ear canal. That should leave users able to hear more of their surroundings, although it also means the earbuds are not expected to offer active noise cancellation.

SamMobile’s report says the earbuds may support Auto Volume, Volume Boost, Bixby and Gemini. SammyGuru separately reports that the design uses a curved bridge between two rounded sections. Samsung has not confirmed those features, the final name or the product’s specifications.

The FCC paperwork also points to a rounded-square charging case with USB-C and a pairing button, based on the label-placement documentation. Earlier reports have suggested a late-September or October introduction, but FCC approval does not confirm a launch date.

What Samsung Galaxy Buds On could mean for UAE buyers

Samsung has not announced a UAE price, release date or local availability for the Samsung Galaxy Buds On. The company’s UAE store and local retailers will need to be checked again once Samsung makes the product official. tbreak’s Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro review covers Samsung’s current in-ear flagship approach, while the Galaxy H1 headphone leak points to the company exploring more audio form factors.
