Razer has launched the Basilisk V4 Pro, a wireless ergonomic gaming mouse built around a redesigned tilt scroll wheel and a battery rated for up to 275 hours. The company’s announcement puts the mouse at US$169.99, with a cheaper Basilisk V4 HyperSpeed and a new Mouse Dock V2 Pro charging dock arriving alongside it.

The tilt wheel and the battery claim

The headline change is the HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2. It offers a 24-step tactile mode, a new 48-step Precision Tactile mode for finer control over hotbars and abilities, and a Free-Spin mode for long scrolls. A Smart-Reel setting switches between tactile and free-spin automatically depending on how fast you scroll, and you can tune it in Razer Synapse.

The battery figures come with conditions. Razer rates the mouse at up to 200 hours on HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 at 1,000 Hz polling, and up to 275 hours over Bluetooth 6.2. Those are manufacturer numbers, and they will drop at the mouse’s 8,000 Hz polling rate. Razer hasn’t published figures for that mode.

Price and availability

The Basilisk V4 Pro starts at US$169.99, £169.99 and S$249 on Razer’s regional stores. Razer says it’s available now through Razer.com, RazerStores and authorised retailers worldwide. The Mouse Dock V2 Pro is listed at US$69.99, according to Gamers6.

For Gulf buyers, Razer’s UAE store page for the mouse didn’t load when we checked, so there’s no confirmed AED price or local stock yet. Does the Basilisk V4 Pro really last 275 hours?

Only over Bluetooth, and only up to that figure. Over the HyperSpeed wireless dongle at 1,000 Hz, Razer quotes up to 200 hours.

Is the Basilisk V4 Pro available in the UAE?

Razer says it’s sold worldwide through its stores and authorised retailers, but we couldn’t confirm a UAE listing or AED price.

What does the tilt wheel do differently?

It adds a finer 48-step tactile mode and a free-spinning mode, and can switch between modes automatically as you scroll.
