OPPO’s Find X10 Pro Max has launched in China with three 200MP rear cameras, an 8,000mAh battery and a confirmed international release. The phone is the first to put a 200MP sensor behind each of its main, periscope and ultra-wide cameras, according to The Verge.
OPPO Find X10 Pro Max camera system puts resolution everywhere
The main camera supports 17 stops of dynamic range through OPPO’s DeepPix sensor technology. The periscope camera uses an f/2.1 lens and CIPA 7.5 stabilisation, while the 124-degree ultra-wide uses an f/2.2 lens. The three cameras cover different jobs, but all arrive with the same headline resolution.
That does not make image quality a solved problem. The Verge notes that raw megapixel count has not been the main driver of smartphone photography for some time, leaving the lenses, processing and real-world results to do the less glamorous work.
The phone also carries IP69 protection and a large 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. GSMArena reports that the handset is among the first to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 Pro, with configurations listed up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, although pricing remains unannounced.
