LG has brought its AI karaoke speaker to the UAE. The xboom Stage 501, previewed at CES in January, was launched locally in Dubai on 11 August — and its party trick is stripping the vocals out of whatever happens to be playing.
AI karaoke on any song
No pre-recorded backing tracks, no subscription and no preparation. AI Karaoke Master removes vocals and shifts pitch in real time, on the speaker or in the companion app, so the song can come down to your range. The vocals come out, the pitch comes down, and the rest remains your problem.
The speaker is the latest from the xboom by will.i.am collaboration, with drivers from Peerless. It delivers 220W plugged in and 160W on battery, with up to 25 hours of playback and a replaceable battery. AI Sound, Space Calibration Pro and AI Lighting tune the audio and the light show without anyone touching a menu. The design, with its dual handles and four mounting positions, took Red Dot and iF Design awards in 2026.
“With xboom Stage 501, we set out to simplify how people enjoy music together by removing the need for dedicated karaoke tracks or complex setup,” said Lee Jeong-seok, head of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company’s Audio Business Division. “By combining powerful sound performance with AI that adapts to both the content and the environment, we are making it easier for users to turn any moment into a shared music experience.”
What the AI will not do is improve the singing.
LG xboom Stage 501 price and availability in the UAE
LG Gulf has not announced a UAE price. The speaker costs $499.99 in the US, which is roughly AED 1,840 at current rates, though UAE pricing is set locally. For scale, the older xboom Stage 301 currently sells for AED 765–803 on Amazon.ae; the 501 should sit comfortably north of that.
Availability in the UAE is expected in the coming weeks. The Stage 501 joins the xboom lineup alongside Mini, Rock, Grab, Bounce and Stage 301.
