Samsung Display has confirmed it is supplying the OLED displays in the Genesis GV90 — a 24.6-inch Cinematic Display and 13.2-inch rear-seat panels — with shipments starting this month.
The Genesis GV90 OLED display is a pop-up. While driving, it shows navigation and driving information at 23.6 inches; press the button on the centre fascia when parked and the screen rises 90mm to a full 24.6-inch panel, about 1.7 times the retracted area. Genesis showed the mechanism at the GV90’s unveiling.
The Genesis GV90 OLED display, explained
OLED suits a screen that moves. A self-emissive panel is roughly 30 per cent the thickness and 70 per cent the weight of a comparable LCD, which needs a separate backlight, so the rising mechanism fits the console without squeezing the cabin. The thinness also gives designers more freedom over where the screen sits.
The panel is the cinema-grade part: a 24:9 ultra-wide ratio, 3,840 × 1,440 resolution and full DCI-P3 colour, the gamut digital films are graded in. A tandem OLED structure — two organic light-emitting layers stacked — lifts both brightness and lifespan, which matters on a screen that sits in the sun on a parked car.
Two 13.2-inch OLEDs (1,920 × 1,080) on the backs of the front headrests give rear passengers their own screens, colour-matched to the front display. Genesis lists video conferencing among the uses, a polite way of admitting you can take a call in the back of an SUV.

The deal deepens Samsung Display’s push into premium automotive displays; the company is better known here for high-refresh QD-OLED gaming monitors. It is now the supplier behind the Genesis GV90 OLED display.
The GV90 is not sold in the UAE yet — Genesis is distributed locally by Juma Al Majid — but the screens arrive with the car when it does. Samsung Display announced the supply deal; Edaily and Asiae covered it from Seoul.
What is the Genesis GV90?
The GV90 is Genesis’s first full-size flagship electric SUV, unveiled in San Francisco on August 19, 2026. A 123.5 kWh battery drives twin motors with 490 kW (657 hp). The Neolun version adds hidden B-pillar coach doors.
When will the Genesis GV90 go on sale in the UAE?
Genesis has not confirmed a UAE date. Korea gets first sales in the second half of 2026, and previous Genesis launches have reached the UAE six to twelve months later. Juma Al Majid distributes the brand in the UAE.
