CMF by Nothing has teased its next pair of earbuds, and the shape points squarely at a new CMF Buds 3 line. The brand posted a single product shot to X on Monday with the caption “A hint of what’s next”, showing a stem-style in-ear bud in white and silver.

The image is a bottom-up view of one bud: a glossy white stem, two microphones, a metallic silver body and CMF’s signature orange silicone tip. A circular zone at the base of the stem looks like a touch control. GSMArena was first to flag it, and Android Authority reads the same clues.

The timing fits. CMF’s Buds 2 family — Buds 2, Buds 2a, Buds 2 Plus and Buds Pro 2 — arrived in early 2025, so a successor is overdue. The teaser also confirms a deliberate contrast with the Clip Pro, the clip-on open-ear pair the brand launched only weeks ago; these are proper in-ears.

What we know about the CMF Buds 3

Almost nothing beyond the silhouette. No launch date, no spec sheet, no price. CMF cancelled its next phone earlier this year, but audio is where its momentum sits. Teaser campaigns like this usually run for a few weeks before the full reveal.

Pricing is the one thing with precedent. The CMF Buds 2 family launched between US$49 and US$69 — roughly AED 180 to AED 255 at current rates — and CMF has kept its buds there across generations. Nothing has not confirmed pricing for the Buds 3, so treat the range as context, not a quote.

Nothing audio sells well in the UAE. The Nothing Ear (3) landed here with regional pricing, and we rated the CMF Headphone Pro a strong budget pick. When the Buds 3 arrive, the regional retail route usually follows quickly — CMF’s prior buds have all made it to UAE shelves.

Until the reveal, the teaser does its job: a familiar design, one new angle, and a question mark where the price should be.

What is CMF by Nothing?

CMF (Colour, Material, Finish) is Nothing’s budget sub-brand, launched in 2023. It makes phones, watches and earbuds at lower prices than Nothing’s main line — the Buds 2 family, for example, launched between US$49 and US$69.

When will the CMF Buds 3 launch?

Nothing has not confirmed a date. The teaser appeared on 17 August 2026, and CMF typically runs teaser campaigns for a few weeks before revealing new audio products in full.

How much will the new CMF earbuds cost?

Nothing has not announced pricing. The previous Buds 2 family launched between US$49 and US$69 — roughly AED 180 to AED 255 at current rates — and CMF has kept its buds in that bracket across generations, so the Buds 3 are expected to follow.
