Apple has put a date on its next launch. In a post on X, Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, teased the company’s next reveal with a short video and four words: “Welcome home. October 13.”

The post names no products. The theme points at the home, though, and the timing fits months of smart home rumours.

What Apple has confirmed

Apple has confirmed only the date and the tagline. Invitations have also gone to some members of the press for an “Apple Experience” in Tribeca, New York, starting at 9:00 a.m. ET on 13 October, as shared by Marques Brownlee. 9to5Mac notes that Apple ran a similar hands-on session for the MacBook Neo earlier this year.

MacRumors says it is unclear whether there will be a full video presentation or whether the products will arrive through press releases on the day. That also leaves the exact announcement time open.

What to expect

Everything below comes from rumours and code leaks, not Apple. According to MacRumors and AppleInsider, the likely line-up is:

  • Home hub (often called “HomePad”): a new device with a roughly 6-inch square display, a camera and presence sensors. It would run a tvOS-based software platform, tentatively called homeOS, and rely on Siri AI. Reports describe a wall-mounted version and one with a half-dome speaker base. MacRumors puts pricing at around $350.
  • HomePod mini refresh: new colours, a faster chip and the N1 networking chip for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, with Siri AI support.
  • Apple TV 4K: an A19 or A19 Pro chip, more memory, the N1 chip and a possible new Siri Remote. Leaked designs suggest the box itself looks the same.

9to5Mac also expects the LG-made smart lock and thermostat that leaked recently to appear, since Apple reportedly co-developed them with LG. None of this is confirmed.

The Siri angle explains the timing. MacRumors says the hub has been ready for months and was waiting on Siri AI, which TechRadar notes arrived last month with iOS 27. The launch also follows our look at the three Apple launches to watch this month.

UAE availability

Apple hasn’t said where the products will go on sale, or at what price. Pricing so far is a US rumour only, so there is no UAE figure to cite yet.

Is this a full Apple event?

Not in the usual sense. Apple has announced a hands-on “Experience” for invited press in New York, and it hasn’t said whether a keynote-style video will stream.

Will Apple announce a new iPhone on 13 October?

Apple hasn’t said. The “Welcome home” tagline and the reporting around it point to home products, not phones.

When will the products be available?

Unknown. Apple hasn’t given release dates or prices, and rumours cover the hardware only.
