Apple has sent invites for a “Pro and tell” showcase in Los Angeles on Wednesday 28 October, and the tagline points squarely at the Mac. Engadget reports that Apple has invited press and influencers for a first look at new devices, while MacRumors says the in-person session starts at 10:00am Pacific Time, which is 9pm in the UAE.
This isn’t a traditional keynote. As MacRumors explains, it follows the 13 October “Welcome Home” format: invited media get hands-on time in Los Angeles, and everyone else sees the announcements through press releases on the day. Cult of Mac notes that Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak teased it on X with “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.” We covered the Welcome Home launch when it was confirmed.
What’s expected (reports, not confirmed)
Apple hasn’t said what it will show. Engadget says Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reiterated earlier reporting that touchscreen MacBooks, more M6-powered Macs and an iPad mini with an OLED display are on the way. According to Engadget, the touchscreen MacBooks are rumoured to use M5 Pro and Max chips, come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, and be significantly lighter than current Pro models. Engadget adds that a refreshed 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac are also expected, both on the M6.
MacRumors lists the rumoured lineup as an OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro, an M6 entry-level MacBook Pro, an M6 iMac and an OLED iPad mini. We’d earlier reported a 27 October target for the touchscreen MacBook and iPad mini and the invite puts the showcase a day later.
When UAE buyers could get them
Apple hasn’t announced UAE pricing or availability for any of these products, and we won’t guess at either. For a sense of the usual rhythm, our March 2026 UAE launch guide shows how the last Mac wave played out: announcements on 2-3 March, pre-orders from 4 March, and products in UAE stores from 11 March. Whether the October products follow that pattern will only be clear once Apple publishes its regional pages after the announcement.
Because the announcements come as press releases, they could land at about 10am Pacific. MacRumors says they could also arrive earlier, around 9am Eastern, as Apple’s releases typically do. That means UAE readers should check in during the evening of 28 October, and we’ll update as soon as UAE details appear.
What time does Apple’s 28 October announcement start in the UAE?
Apple’s media session begins at 10am Pacific Time, which is 9pm in the UAE. Press releases could land at that time or a little earlier.
Will there be a livestream?
Apple hasn’t announced one. MacRumors describes the format as a press experience with press releases for everyone else, much like the 13 October launch.
Is the touchscreen MacBook Pro confirmed?
No. Apple’s invite doesn’t name any products, so the touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro, M6 iMac and OLED iPad mini all come from reports, including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
