Acer has announced four TravelMate business laptops aimed at enterprises and small and medium businesses: the TravelMate P6 14 AI, TravelMate P2 Spin 14, TravelMate X2 15, and TravelMate X2 14.
The headline upgrade is NPU-based AI acceleration across the range. Acer says the P2 Spin 14 and two X2 models are its first commercial laptops powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, while the P6 uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 with vPro. That gives IT departments newer silicon to assess, plus the familiar pleasure of deciding which optional security features are actually included in each quotation.
What changes with Acer’s new TravelMate laptops?
Dedicated AI hardware now spans all four TravelMate models, while the P6 14 AI adds Copilot+ certification and Acer’s most capable security configuration.
The TravelMate P6 14 AI is a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC with Intel vPro and up to 150 TOPS of platform AI performance, according to Acer. Every Copilot+ PC is also a Secured-core PC, protecting the hardware, firmware, and operating system layers.
Acer Display Lens is the more distinctive software addition. It can magnify on-screen details by up to four times, replay meeting highlights in slow motion, and capture QR codes shown during calls. PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice are established Acer features rather than fresh inventions, although running AI workloads on an NPU should reduce reliance on the CPU and GPU.
The P6 also combines a 5 MP IR camera, physical camera shutter, ProShield Plus encryption, and an optional chassis intrusion alarm. Acer claims its 71 Wh battery can last up to 30 hours and supports fast charging through Power Delivery. That figure needs independent testing before anyone orders a fleet around it; vendor battery estimates tend to enjoy quieter working days than their owners.

The P6 targets mobile executives and managed enterprise fleets, the P2 Spin suits pen and camera-based work, and the X2 models cover conventional office roles.

The P2 Spin 14 has a 360-degree hinge, a user-facing 5 MP or Full HD camera, and a second 5 MP world-facing camera for showing documents or physical samples. It also includes Bluetooth 6.0, a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, MIL-STD 810H certification, and DustDefender, which Acer says clears dust from the cooling system every six hours.
Both X2 laptops use Wi-Fi 6E rather than Wi-Fi 7. They carry MIL-STD 810H certification and discrete TPM 2.0 chips, with fingerprint readers and chassis intrusion alerts offered as options. Optional EPEAT certification and 100% recyclable packaging are also available.
Is the new TravelMate range ready for fleet upgrades?
The specifications make a credible procurement shortlist, but pricing, exact configurations, and independently tested endurance will determine whether these laptops justify a fleet refresh.
Several security features are useful rather than novel. Intel vPro and TPM 2.0 have long been part of the business-laptop conversation, while durability certification and physical camera shutters are sensible continuity. The meaningful change is their combination with newer Intel platforms, dedicated NPUs, and Copilot+ certification on the P6.
For UAE procurement teams, hardware security and device lifecycle policies deserve more attention than the AI label. Acer has not provided prices or regional availability dates for these refreshed models. Until those arrive, the P6 looks like the technical standout, the P2 Spin offers the most specialised flexibility, and the X2 machines cover the less glamorous but far larger market for dependable office laptops. AI may lead the announcement, but security, serviceability, and total fleet cost will close the purchase order.
