007 First Light DLC: New Game+ and 00 difficulty

Completing the campaign unlocks New Game+ and 00 difficulty. A replay can start at the beginning or from any completed checkpoint, carrying over outfits and gadgets already unlocked. Those items can also be used on Easy, Normal or Hard, so the tougher setting is optional.

00 difficulty sharpens combat, stealth and social encounters. Enemies react faster to bodies and disturbances, gadgets cannot be used in a guard’s line of sight, and fights bring two-hit kills with tighter parry and side-step timing.

New TacSim missions, Photo Mode and gameplay changes

The 007 First Light DLC also expands TacSim with four Valhalla Protocol missions in the Slovakian Mountains. Bond drives the Aston Martin Valhalla by day and night, taking on different challenges with the car’s weapons and the campaign’s arsenal.

A fifth mission returns Bond to The Pearl, a Vietnam resort, to retrieve classified documents from a guarded villa. The full property, including its rooftop, becomes playable, and the villa’s interior has been redesigned to offer more opportunities for stealth. TacSim missions also gain the main campaign’s full weapon arsenal.

Photo Mode can freeze the action and adjust the camera, lens, character pose, brightness, filters and frames. IO Interactive has also refined weapon-handling animations and added the ability for enemies to throw Bond off ledges.

The release follows Patch 1.1.0, which added two Escalation missions and three weapons. 007 First Light had sold three million copies in less than two weeks, giving IO Interactive a substantial audience to bring back for the expanded TacSim missions and campaign replay.

Can players use New Game+ outfits and gadgets on lower difficulties?

Yes. IO Interactive says unlocked outfits and gadgets can be carried into New Game+ on Easy, Normal or Hard as well as 00 difficulty.

Does New Game+ add a different campaign story?

IO Interactive describes New Game+ as a replay of the campaign from the beginning or a completed checkpoint with unlocked gear. It has not announced alternate story events; the newly added missions are part of TacSim.
