WHOOP has integrated Natural Cycles, the FDA-cleared hormone-free birth control app, into its membership, and is throwing in a year of the app for eligible new users.
Members with a WHOOP MG or 5.0 device can now share overnight skin temperature with the Natural Cycles app automatically. The app uses that biomarker data — temperature and heart rate — to identify fertile and non-fertile days, giving members daily fertility status without hormones. The one-year offer applies to members new to Natural Cycles.
The move deepens WHOOP’s women’s health push, a segment the company says is its fastest-growing: women now make up 24% of new members, with membership among women up 111% year over year.
“This partnership represents a commitment to supporting women’s health through clinically-backed, actionable data,” said Dr Ami Bhatt, WHOOP’s first-ever Chief Medical Officer, in the announcement. “By integrating with the NC° app, we are providing our members with a seamless way to access personalized reproductive health insights, expanding WHOOP beyond performance into everyday health.”
Natural Cycles is a Class II medical device — the only FDA-cleared digital birth control app — and its modes cover pregnancy planning, pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause, not just contraception. The integration itself is available now on WHOOP MG and 5.0 devices.
