The Ripe Market opened its 15th season at Dubai Police Academy Park in Umm Suqeim on 10 October, and it runs every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 9pm until 2 May 2027. Visitors who attended the opening told Gulf News that the line-up covers shopping, food, kids’ activities, wellness sessions, and sport.
The market began as a fresh-produce concept and has grown into an all-day weekend outing on Sheikh Zayed Road. The vendor mix changes from weekend to weekend, so the stalls won’t look the same on every visit.
What to shop
Independent businesses sell fashion, jewellery, accessories, homeware, art, beauty products, and handmade gifts. Farm produce remains part of the mix.
Several returning vendors spoke to Gulf News at the opening. Hasabi Organic Farm Al Ain sells organic vegetables and has taken part for 12 years, according to salesman Riyad Hossin. Birs Atelier makes handbags from recycled materials, and owner Birsan Kan said she has taken a permanent spot this season after her second year at the market. Mango Beat turns used wood into a passive smartphone speaker with no wires, batteries, or electricity. Partner Charles Jabbour said the larger models amplify sound by up to seven times, and the smaller ones by up to five times.
What to eat
Food trucks, casual dining concepts, coffee spots, and sweet-treat vendors offer food from breakfast through dinner. Neither report lists specific food vendors for the season, so check the market’s channels for the current line-up.
Kids, police, and live acts
Children’s activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, arts and crafts, workshops, inflatables, mini train rides, and a carousel. The stage will host magic shows, music, and themed performances through the season, with a schedule that changes over time.

Dubai Police return with a community programme that includes the Dubai Police Marching Band, K9 demonstrations, and a display of the force’s supercars. Children can also meet officer Amna and captain Mansour.
Wellness and sport
Free sessions cover yoga, Pilates, sound healing, and mindfulness. Planned sports activities include swimming, padel, tennis, horse riding, football, rugby, and gymnastics.
Planning your visit
The market opens at 9am, perfect for a coffee-and-browse morning, and closes at 9pm, leaving room for an evening visit once the weather cools. If you’re building a wider outdoor-season list, the Dubai Miracle Garden season guide covers another seasonal opening, and Dubai Holding Entertainment’s plans hint at what’s next for the city’s attractions.
