SOCO is coming to City Centre Mirdif — bowling, arcade, mocktails

SOCO is opening soon at City Centre Mirdif with bowling, arcade games, shuffleboard, darts, pool, VIP rooms, and a full food + mocktail menu. Here’s what to expect.

SOCO is coming to City Centre Mirdif — bowling, arcade, mocktails

SOCO is basically a big indoor hangout built around games, food, and that one friend who takes darts way too seriously- similar to Black Bunny. It’s opening soon at City Centre Mirdif, and the site already lists game pricing, VIP room rates, and a full menu (yes, including mocktails).

KEY TAKEAWAYS
  • SOCO is opening soon at City Centre Mirdif (Level 1), near VOX Cinemas and Activate Dubai.
  • Opening hours listed: Mon–Thu 10am–10pm, Fri–Sun 10am–12am (may vary on public holidays/Ramadan).
  • Bowling starts at AED 65 per game (60 mins); arcade games like Air Hockey and King of Hammer show AED 15 per game
  • Social-competitive games include pool, darts, shuffleboard, and a multi-sport simulator (up to AED 250 for 60 mins on the simulator).
  • There’s a SOCO Card for arcade payments (online top-up/check tools are marked “coming soon”).

What SOCO is, and where it’s opening in Dubai

SOCO is pitching itself as an all-in-one games venue with food on-site, aimed at groups and families. The first UAE location listed is City Centre Mirdif, opening “this December”.

  • Location: City Centre Mirdif, Level 1, after VOX Cinemas, next to Activate Dubai
  • Opening hours (listed): Mon–Thu 10:00–22:00, Fri–Sun 10:00–00:00
  • Contact: 600 599905

If you’ve been stuck doing the same “cinema then home” loop in Mirdif, this is clearly trying to be the alternative: games first, snacks second, then one more game because “we’re already here”.

The games list (and how much they cost)

SOCO splits gameplay into bowling, arcade games, and “social competitive” games (pool, darts, shuffleboard, etc.). A lot of sessions are timed, so it’s easier to plan as a group.

  • Bowling: 60 minutes, up to 6 players, AED 65 per game
  • Pool tables: 30 mins AED 50, 60 mins AED 75
  • Darts: 30 mins AED 80, 60 mins AED 125
  • Shuffleboard: 30 mins AED 80, 60 mins AED 125
  • Multi-sport simulator: 30 mins AED 150, 60 mins AED 250
  • Arcade examples: Air Hockey AED 15, King of Hammer AED 15

The useful bit: prices are shown “per game” for a lot of items, and many have a clear time block. So you’re not guessing if you’ve just paid for 5 minutes or a full hour.

Booking, payments, and the SOCO Card

Some games can get busy (SOCO specifically calls out bowling and shuffleboard), so booking ahead is pushed. For others, the site says you can often just walk up and play.

  • Booking: available online or at the venue; pre-booking recommended on weekends/holidays
  • Walk-ins: allowed, depending on availability
  • SOCO Card: used for arcade play; positioned as the “payment gateway” for arcade games
  • Cash: site messaging says “no cash required” (credit card + SOCO Card are mentioned)

A few card features (check balance / top up online) are labelled “coming soon” on the SOCO Card pages. So assume you’ll still be doing at least some of this on-site at launch.

Food and drinks: mocktails, bites, mains, and kids’ options

SOCO’s dining page is broad (bites, drinks, sweets), but the menu PDF gets specific with items and prices, plus allergen tags and a note that prices include VAT.

  • Snacky plates: chicken skewers AED 42, mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes AED 44, wings AED 52
  • Mains: miso salmon AED 90, tenderloin steak AED 145
  • Desserts: cheesecake AED 45, sticky date pudding AED 50
  • Mocktails and drinks: classic mojito AED 34, piña colada AED 35, iced teas AED 18
  • Kids section: kids’ mac & cheese AED 35, chicken tenders AED 40

Also, SOCO says no outside food. Fair warning before you turn up with a mall milk tea and pretend it’s invisible.

Groups, corporate bookings, and VIP rooms

SOCO is leaning hard into parties and group visits, including corporate bookings and private rooms.

  • VIP game rooms: 2 hours, 10 people per room, AED 899 per room
  • VIP room setup: AR darts, PS5, karaoke, dedicated host listed
  • Corporate guidelines (high level): advance booking, deposit required, full payment before session

If you’re planning a work outing, the rules are the important part: it’s not “show up with 60 people and vibes”. It’s “book it properly and pay a deposit”.
