Samsung’s unreleased Galaxy Buds T1 could be its answer to runners who keep losing earbuds mid-stride. Leaks point to an ear-hook design, custom touch controls and a 595mAh charging case, but Samsung has not announced the product.

Samsung Galaxy Buds T1 leak points to an ear-hook design

The Galaxy Buds T1 is reportedly Samsung’s internal name for the SM-R545, an unreleased pair previously linked to the Galaxy Buds Canal 5 name. The design shown in leaked line renders wraps around the ear, which should make the fit more secure for workouts and running than standard in-ear buds.

The claims come from references found in an APK, according to SammyGuru’s report on the Samsung Galaxy Buds T1 leak. Android Authority’s report separately summarises the same model number, codename and reported features.

What the Samsung Galaxy Buds T1 controls could do

The leak points to separate touch-and-hold actions for each earbud. The default setup reportedly lowers the volume from the left bud and raises it from the right. Users may also be able to assign those gestures to call rejection, noise-control modes, Gemini or Bixby.

An Earbud Fit Test is also mentioned, along with an “Advanced quality options” menu. That menu does not confirm support for Samsung’s UHQ codec, 24-bit/96kHz audio or lossless playback, and the leak does not establish which codecs the earbuds will support.

Galaxy Buds T1 battery capacity and launch details

The reported typical capacity is 63mAh for each earbud and 595mAh for the charging case. Those figures do not provide a battery-life estimate, since runtime will depend on factors including active noise control, codec, volume and chipset efficiency.

Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy Buds T1’s final name, price, launch date or UAE availability. The battery figures and features could also change before release. For comparison, tbreak’s Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro review covers the company’s current in-ear approach, while the Galaxy H1 headphones leak covers another unreleased Samsung audio product.
