Solar-Powered 4G Security That Actually Lasts? Reolink Says Yes at GITEX
TL;DR
  • Reolink is bringing Reoneura AI to GITEX Dubai to improve detection and event search across its cameras.
  • A new 4K pan-tilt cam aims for true 360° coverage with AI Video Search.
  • A 4G pan-tilt model targets remote, off-grid installs with solar and long battery life.

Reolink is heading to GITEX GLOBAL 2025 with a stack of new security tech for homes and worksites. The company will debut Reoneura AI for faster, more accurate alerts and smarter search, plus two headline cameras: a 4K pan-tilt model with 360° coverage and a 4G pan-tilt unit designed for off-grid sites with solar support and long battery life. You can see it all in Dubai from 13–17 October at Hall 23, Booth D40.

Reoneura AI: quicker alerts and simpler search

Reoneura AI is Reolink’s new engine for object detection and event lookup. The aim is less noise, more useful alerts, and faster ways to find the moment you actually need.

  • Object detection tuned for people, vehicles and animals
  • Smarter notifications to reduce false alarms
  • Intuitive video search to jump to key events
  • Built to work across Reolink’s camera range

In simple terms, Reoneura AI should help you trust your system more. If you’ve dealt with motion alerts every time a tree wiggles, this is the fix: better classification and a search tool that lets you pull up “the courier at 4 pm” instead of scrubbing a timeline. For the UAE, where many villas face bright sun by day and dim streets by night, accurate detection is more useful than yet another megapixel race.

New 4K pan-tilt camera: 360° coverage without the blind spots

Reolink’s new 4K pan-tilt camera pairs high-resolution video with fluid movement to watch wide spaces.

  • 4K recording with a pan-tilt mechanism
  • 360° coverage designed to remove blind spots
  • Works with AI Video Search
  • Aimed at homes, small offices and retail floors

The pitch is straightforward: mount one unit, get complete coverage, then use AI search to scan for events by type or time. For residents in townhouses or shops in JLT and Business Bay, a single high-res cam that can swing around instead of buying two or three static ones can keep costs and cabling lower, while still catching plates, faces and key details.

4G pan-tilt with solar: protection where Wi-Fi won’t reach

The other star product is a 4G pan-tilt camera built for places with no fixed internet or power.

  • 4G connectivity for remote sites, farms and garages
  • Large-capacity battery with a bundled 12 W solar panel
  • Quoted up to 180 days on a single charge
  • 4MP ColorX sensor, f/1.0 aperture, 1/1.8” size for brighter low-light video
  • 360° pan-tilt with AI auto-tracking of people, vehicles and animals

This is the practical one for the UAE. Think desert camps, temporary construction, or a beach house with patchy Wi-Fi. Pop in a local data SIM, angle the panel, and you’re set for year-round recording with minimal maintenance. The ColorX hardware and wide f/1.0 lens should help keep footage usable after sunset, which is where many battery cams fall apart. It sits alongside other solar-first designs we’ve seen, like Aqara’s outdoor camera shown at IFA 2025.

What UAE buyers should know

A few checks before you throw it in the cart.

  • Mobile bands: confirm the 4G model supports Etisalat and du LTE bands
  • Data plans: continuous recording eats data; event-only saves cost
  • Storage: look for local microSD or NVR options if you don’t want cloud fees
  • Placement: pan-tilt is great, but mount height and angle still matter

If you’re setting up a smart home around Matter, Zigbee or Thread devices, our guide breaks down how these pieces fit together so you avoid a messy mix of hubs and apps. For doorbells and entry monitoring, see our look at Aqara’s G410 Doorbell Camera Hub, which offers 2K video and facial recognition as a point of comparison.
