Ubisoft has confirmed Rainbow Six Mobile is launching worldwide on 23 February 2026, and it’s landing on iOS and Android as a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter. It’s developed by Ubisoft Montreal and sticks to the series’ core idea: teamwork, intel, and chaos when a wall suddenly stops being a wall.
If you want the official announcement, Ubisoft has it up on Ubisoft News and the Rainbow Six Mobile game page.
- Rainbow Six Mobile launches worldwide on 23 February 2026 on iOS and Android
- It's F2P and built around 5v5 Attack vs Defense matches
- Launch modes include Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch
How Rainbow Six Mobile matches work
It’s the classic Rainbow Six setup: one team attacks, one team defends, and you swap sides to decide who actually planned better.
- 5v5 PvP in Attack vs. Defense
- Attackers use observation drones for intel
- Destructible environments: breach walls, floors, and ceilings
- Defenders barricade entry points and rely on spy cameras or traps
- Focus on close-quarter combat and tight teamwork
Rainbow Six only works when everyone plays their role. Mobile won’t change that. The difference is you’re doing it on a touchscreen (or controller, if you’re that person), in faster sessions built for phones.
Modes confirmed for launch
Ubisoft is keeping it simple: one core tactical loop, plus options for quicker fights.
- Bomb
- Bomb Rush
- Team Deathmatch
Bomb and Bomb Rush lean into the Attack/Defense structure the franchise is known for. Team Deathmatch is the obvious “quick match” option when you just want to shoot something and move on with your day.
Operators and maps: what’s included
Yes, operators are in. And yes, the maps are familiar.
- More than 20 operators
- Ubisoft specifically mentions Ash, Mute, and Dokkaebi
- Iconic maps inspired by Siege:
- Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, Villa
- Summit, a new map exclusive to mobile
If you’re coming from Siege, this is meant to feel recognisable, not like a random spin-off wearing Rainbow Six cosplay.
Mobile-first features (and what to expect each season)
Ubisoft is pitching this as built specifically for mobile, with systems designed to help new players get up to speed and give regular players reasons to stick around.
- An onboarding tutorial that teaches Rainbow Six fundamentals
- Private matches, Ranked matches, and Quick Play
- New content each season
That onboarding tutorial matters more than it sounds. Rainbow Six has a learning curve even on console/PC. On mobile, it needs to teach you fast or it’ll lose people fast.

Where it’s playable now, and what “worldwide” means for the UAE
Right now, Rainbow Six Mobile is only available in a limited set of regions:
- Poland
- France
- Canada
- Latin America
The worldwide launch is 23 February 2026, which is the date UAE players should care about. Until then, it’s basically “watch people play it online and pretend you’re fine”.
