PS Plus December: Mirage, Wo Long, Lego Horizon & a PS2 Classic Drop This Month

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog line-up for December 2025, and it's a good month if you like action RPG and slightly cursed cartoon animals. Assassin's Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are the headliners, joined by Lego Horizon Adventures, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and a handful of smaller but solid picks.

Most of the new games hit the Game Catalog on 16 December, while Skate Story turns up earlier for PS5 owners. If you’re on Extra or Deluxe in the UAE, this is the pool of games you can download at no extra cost.

When do December’s PS Plus games go live?

Most of December’s additions land mid-month, with one early drop to keep you busy.

Sony’s announcement confirms that the bulk of the line-up is coming to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on 16 December, with Skate Story already available for PS5 ahead of the main wave. The titles sit inside the Game Catalog benefit, which is locked behind Extra and Premium tiers worldwide – in the UAE, that maps to Extra and Deluxe. As usual, the fine print says the library can vary by country, but this is the slate Sony is advertising across regions.

Headliners: Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long

The two standout additions are both action-heavy, both a bit punishing, and both worth your download queue.

• Assassin’s Creed Mirage (PS5, PS4) – stealth-focused, Baghdad-set return to classic AC design
• Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS5, PS4) – fast-paced action RPG in Three Kingdoms-era China
• Mirage recently picked up a free AlUla expansion with new missions and parkour tweaks
• Both games benefit a lot from PS5’s faster loading and better performance

If you skipped Assassin’s Creed Mirage at launch, getting it in the subscription is a nice win. The game leans back into older Assassin’s Creed ideas: dense city, shorter runtime, and a focus on sneaking rather than “hit things until numbers go up”. It’s also been updated with a free AlUla expansion set in Saudi Arabia, bringing a new map, missions and parkour upgrades, which UAE players will probably appreciate from a regional point of view.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, meanwhile, is for people who thought Elden Ring was fun but not stressful enough. It’s a timing-based action RPG built around parries, aggressive play and learning boss patterns. Getting both of these in the Game Catalog makes December a strong month if you’re on Extra/Deluxe and like your games a bit sweaty.

Beyond the two big names, Sony is filling out the month with nine more games covering action, family and strategy.

• Planet Coaster 2 (PS5) – build-your-own-theme-park sim
• Cat Quest III (PS5, PS4) – light action RPG with cats and puns
• Lego Horizon Adventures (PS5) – Lego take on Horizon’s world, also a December monthly game
• Paw Patrol: Grand Prix (PS5, PS4) – kid-friendly kart racer
• Paw Patrol World (PS5, PS4) – open-world-ish adventure for younger players

It’s a very “something for everyone” spread. Granblue Fantasy: Relink adds another co-op RPG to the pile, Planet Coaster 2 handles the sim crowd, and Cat Quest III is there for anyone who wants a low-stress RPG with cats instead of tragic swordsmen. Lego Horizon Adventures is doing double duty, both as part of the Game Catalog and as one of December’s Essential monthly games, so even base-tier subscribers can grab it. The two Paw Patrol titles are obvious picks if you’ve got younger kids and don’t fancy paying full price for games they might yeet after a week.

If you’re paying for the top tier, you finally get a little something that isn’t just nostalgia bait. Soulcalibur III was one of the better PS2-era fighters, and seeing it land in the Classics Catalogue helps justify that Deluxe bill a bit more – especially when you add it to earlier months that brought Tekken 3 and other fighting staples to PS Plus. It’s still a small drip feed compared to the main Game Catalog, but for long-time PlayStation players, this is one of those “oh wow, I remember this” picks.
