Your favourite classic games are about to get a major visual upgrade, thanks to NVIDIA's new RTX Remix Logic.

NVIDIA has released a significant update for its RTX Remix platform and expanded its list of DLSS-supported games. According to NVIDIA's announcement, the new Remix Logic tool gives modders more power to overhaul classic games, while several new titles get a performance boost from the latest version of its DLSS technology. This NVIDIA DLSS update continues the company's push to use its software to improve gaming on its hardware.

RTX Remix Logic: a powerful new tool for modders

The main software news is the launch of Remix Logic, an update to the RTX Remix platform delivered through the NVIDIA app. This isn't just about swapping textures. The new system allows modders to trigger dynamic graphics effects based on what's happening in the game. In practice, this means modders can change lighting or weather conditions when a player enters a certain area or presses a key.

NVIDIA says the tool has over 900 graphics settings that can be tied to more than 30 in-game events. This level of control previously required access to a game's source code, which is rarely available. It's a smart move that empowers the modding community to breathe new life into over 165 classic titles, making them more visually interesting on modern RTX hardware.

New games get the latest DLSS treatment

Alongside the modding tools, NVIDIA announced DLSS support for a fresh batch of games. These updates are designed to improve frame rates for gamers with GeForce RTX graphics cards.

Half Sword, a physics-based medieval combat simulator launching in Early Access on 30 January, will support DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. For its part, the action RPG CODE VEIN II will get DLSS Super Resolution when it releases on the same day.

The free-to-play shooter Highguard is out now with DLSS Super Resolution. The popular extraction shooter ARC Raiders also gets an upgrade. Its new Headwinds Update adds more content along with DLSS 4, NVIDIA Reflex, and RTXGI to improve performance and responsiveness.

Looking ahead, the upcoming strategy RPG DLSS 4 adoption in Arknights: Endfield is confirmed. NVIDIA claims this will multiply frame rates by an average of three times at 4K on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. This is a bold claim, especially for hardware that isn't on the market yet.
