Nothing Ear (3) Lands in the UAE With a Super Mic in the Case and Smarter ANC
TL;DR
  • Super Mic in the case lets you take calls or record notes with a press
  • Adaptive ANC up to 45 dB with fit-leak checks for steadier hush
  • Larger 12 mm driver and LDAC for richer sound
  • AED 599 in the UAE, SAR 659 in Saudi; on sale 29 September

Nothing just dropped Ear (3), its new flagship true wireless set. The headline feature is Super Mic — a dual-mic array inside the charging case you can press to take calls or record voice notes without pulling the buds out. The buds themselves get adaptive noise cancellation up to 45 dB, a larger 12 mm driver, stronger radios, and more battery. In the UAE, Ear (3) comes in black and white at AED 599 (Saudi at SAR 659), with retail sales starting 29 September across major stores.

And yes, the transparent look stays — now with metal in the mix.

Super Mic & smarter calls

Super Mic sits in the charging case and focuses on your voice while cutting background noise up to 95 dB. Hit the TALK button on the case for quick calls or longer chats. You can also press the same button to capture voice notes that sync to Essential Space and auto-transcribe on Nothing OS.

  • Super Mic: dual mics in the case with ambient filtering
  • Case TALK button: start a call or record voice notes
  • On-bud setup: three mics per ear plus a bone-conduction VPU
  • AI noise control: trained on real-world audio to suppress wind and chatter

In the earbuds, each side uses three directional mics and a Voice Pick-up Unit that reads micro-vibrations from your jaw and ear canal. That signal is less affected by the outside world, so calls sound cleaner. Wind noise reduction is rated over 25 dB. If you live on Sheikh Zayed Road voice notes, this is made for you. Noise cancellation that adapts in real time

Nothing says Ear (3) monitors your surroundings every 600 ms and checks for fit leaks every 1,875 ms, adjusting the ANC profile on the fly. The claim in the buds is up to 45 dB of cancellation.

  • Real-time ANC: up to 45 dB in-ear
  • Fit-leak monitoring: adjusts as the seal changes
  • Multi-channel noise model: focuses on voice and trims wind
  • Transparency and low-latency modes for commute and gaming

Adaptive ANC matters more than one big number. Trains, malls, and office AC all shift. Fast updates keep the hush consistent as you move. If you’re cross-shopping, take a look at our coverage of AirPods Pro 3 in the UAE and Galaxy Buds3 FE to see how they pitch call clarity and ANC.

Bigger driver, tuned for punch

Ear (3) keeps a single 12 mm dynamic driver but with a patterned diaphragm that increases the radiating area by 20% over the last model. Bass is up by 4–6 dB with treble up to 4 dB, aiming for a wider stage and cleaner highs.

  • 12 mm dynamic driver
  • Patterned diaphragm, 20% larger radiating area vs previous gen
  • Claimed bass and treble lift for a more open sound
  • LDAC over Bluetooth 5.4 for higher-bit-rate streaming

Specs are one side; tuning is the other. If you’re weighing options across budgets, bookmark our round-ups of the best earbuds in the UAE and our running list of headphone and earbud deals.

Transparent, now with metal

The design still showcases the inner hardware but adds polished metal accents. A custom 0.35 mm MIM antenna improves radio performance, while the case moves to 100% recycled aluminium. Nothing uses nano injection moulding to fuse metal to plastic without glue, targeting tighter tolerances and a cleaner finish.

  • Transparent shells with metal highlights
  • MIM antenna: 0.35 mm, improved total radiated power and sensitivity
  • Case: recycled aluminium, 27 precision processes
  • IP54 rating for buds and case

It’s a familiar Nothing aesthetic that now feels more engineered than ornamental. If you like the brand’s look across categories, check out our coverage of Nothing Phone 3 and older models in our best phones under AED 2,500 guide.

The buds step up to 55 mAh cells, rated for up to 10 hours per charge (bud-only) and 38 hours with the case. A 10-minute USB-C top-up can add up to 10 hours of playback. The case supports wireless charging.

  • Up to 10 hours per charge; 38 hours with case
  • 10-min quick charge for up to 10 hours
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC
