Nissan has rolled out Adaptive Air Suspension with Intelligent Dynamic Damping (e-Damper) for the all-new Patrol in the Middle East. The system mixes air springs for ride height control with smart dampers for real-time comfort and stability. It’s fitted only to the V6T Platinum, PRO-4X and NISMO, and it’s already reaching showrooms across the region from 18 November 2025.
- Adaptive Air Suspension with e-Damper debuts on the all-new Patrol in the Middle East.
- Height can raise ~50mm off-road and lower itself at speed and when parked.
- Available only on V6T Platinum, PRO-4X and NISMO trims.
- Now on sale across the UAE, KSA and wider region.
What’s actually new on the Patrol
The Patrol pairs a new Adaptive Air Suspension with e-Damper tech. One controls height; the other fine-tunes the shock absorbers as you drive.
- Air springs adjust ride height for comfort and capability.
- e-Damper continuously tweaks damping to reduce roll and vibration.
- Setup keeps the Patrol’s per-wheel independent suspension.
The air system changes the Patrol’s stance while the e-Damper smooths the hits. Together, they broaden the Patrol’s range—from smooth city drives to rough desert tracks—without losing its independent-suspension feel.
On-road comfort and control
Day to day, the Patrol aims to feel flatter, quieter and less tiring.
- Real-time damping reduces body roll and vibration.
- At motorway speeds, Aero Mode lowers the body to aid stability and efficiency.
- The new chassis and 9-speed auto support the calmer ride.
Lowering the car at speed cuts drag and helps keep the body settled over bumps and crosswinds. The e-Damper reacts to surface changes, so the ride stays composed. The reinforced chassis and 9-speed gearbox back this up with fewer jolts and less noise on UAE highways.
Off-road: more clearance, more control
This is still a Patrol. It now adds simple tools for sand and rock.
- Off-Road Mode raises the car by about 50mm.
- Improved approach, breakover and departure angles.
- Six drive modes: Standard, Sand, Rock, Mud, Eco and Sport.
Pop it into Off-Road and the Patrol lifts to clear crests and ruts. Pair that with e-Damper control and the body stays steadier on corrugations. The mode list covers the Gulf’s usual mix—soft dunes, rocky wadis and sudden summer storms—while still giving you Eco and Sport for the daily run.
Everyday practicality: the “kneel” trick
Small touches matter when you’re juggling kids and shopping.
- The Patrol lowers itself when parked to ease entry and loading.
- Camera tech supports tight spaces and rough tracks.
- Height adjusts automatically with speed and conditions.
That automatic “kneel” height makes a difference in mall car parks and villa driveways. Around town, Panorama View and the clever Invisible Hood View help place the Patrol’s bulk, while on trails they reveal what’s directly ahead of the bumper. The car also manages height on its own to balance comfort and stability as speeds change.
Trims, engine and availability in the UAE
Nissan limits the air setup to the higher-spec models.
- Trims with air: Patrol V6T Platinum, PRO-4X and NISMO.
- Engine: 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 and 9-speed automatic.
- On sale now across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the region.
If you’re eyeing a spec with air suspension, start with Platinum for comfort, PRO-4X for adventure kit, or NISMO for a sportier feel. Nissan says the updated Patrol line-up is live with regional partners, so UAE buyers can check local stock and demo cars.
