Nissan adds Magnite as Middle East SUV range grows
TL;DR
  • Magnite joins Nissan’s Middle East line, taking it to six nameplates and 47 variants.
  • SUVs drove over 55% of Nissan’s regional sales in FY2024, up 17% year on year.
  • Patrol expands with Pro-4X and the most powerful Patrol NISMO; 16 trims across two engines.

Nissan has introduced the Magnite to the Middle East, expanding its SUV and crossover lineup to six nameplates and 47 variants. The announcement was made in Dubai on 02 September 2025.  The company positions this as a portfolio that matches different use cases, from city cars to off-road icons.

What’s new: Magnite joins the range

Nissan’s first Magnite in the region is now part of the entry-level tier, expanding choice at the compact end without compromising the SUV stance that buyers want.

  • Six nameplates are now in the market
  • 47 total variants across the SUV and crossover range
  • Magnite targets urban drivers looking for everyday ease

The brand states that the broader lineup is designed to provide a clear step-up path. The Magnite strengthens the base. Above it sits the second-generation Kicks. Higher up, the X-Trail, Pathfinder and X-Terra cover family needs, while the Patrol anchors the flagship end.

Sales snapshot: SUVs drive Nissan’s regional growth

SUVs and crossovers made up more than half of Nissan’s regional sales last fiscal year, and that share grew.

  • Over 55% of regional sales came from SUVs and crossovers
  • 17% year-on-year increase in FY2024 (April 2024 to March 2025)
  • Growth linked to new models and refreshed trims

This is not a small bump. The volume mix reveals the significant role SUVs play in the purchasing decisions of buyers in the Middle East. Nissan attributes the uplift to new launches and trims, which aligns with what buyers in the UAE typically request: space, technology, and comfort, with off-road credibility where needed.

Patrol family grows: Pro-4X and NISMO take the stage

Patrol remains the halo product in the region, and Nissan has widened its scope.

  • Patrol now offered in 16 trims, with two engine variants
  • New Patrol Pro-4X focuses on capability and rugged styling
  • Patrol NISMO sits at the top with maximum power and presence

There’s more granularity in the Patrol line than before. The Pro-4X is pitched at customers who want factory-backed hardware and visual toughness. The Patrol NISMO targets those who want the most performance and status from the platform. Between them sits a refreshed Patrol family, covering everyday luxury and long-haul comfort.

Mid-size and urban picks: X-Trail N-Trek and the new Kicks

Nissan has also updated its mid-size and city entries to keep the range fresh.

  • X-Trail adds an adventure-leaning N-Trek edition
  • Space for up to seven passengers
  • All-new Kicks joins the line with a full model change
  • Kicks highlights include a panoramic sunroof and ProPILOT driver assist

The X-Trail N-Trek pushes the family SUV towards weekend use with more robust styling and kit, without losing day-to-day comfort. If you live in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and you need two extra seats for school runs, that seven-seat option matters. At the compact end, the new Kicks brings a cleaner design and more driver-assist tech, including ProPILOT, which will help on long E11 runs and busy Sheikh Zayed Road commutes.

Line-up overview and UAE availability

The full regional roster now spans Magnite, Kicks, X-Trail, Pathfinder, X-Terra and Patrol.

  • From compact urban to full-size off-road
  • Dealer availability across the Middle East partner network
  • Focus on versatility, safety and customer needs

Cars will be available through Nissan’s regional partner network, which covers the UAE. That includes showrooms in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. Nissan positions this as a long-term commitment to the region, with a line that reflects local driving patterns and off-road use. For pricing and delivery timings, buyers should check with UAE dealers, as this announcement outlines the line-up rather than specific grades and costs.

Quote to note

Nissan’s regional head, Thierry Sabbagh, says Middle East buyers want both capability and comfort, and that more than half of sales come from SUVs, led by the Patrol. The company believes it now has an SUV for every use case, from Magnite and Kicks to the Patrol range.
