Motorola’s wide foldable has turned up on Geekbench, and the listing gives it the same name the earlier leaks used: Razr Flex. Gizmochina reports that it’s the first time the name has appeared outside leaks. The listing comes from a pre-release device, so it doesn’t settle what Motorola will call the phone, and Geekbench entries can be altered.

The entry names the phone either Razr Flex 27 or Razr Flex 2027. Gizmochina notes that Motorola already adds a year to the names of phones sold in North America, which makes either format plausible. That would put the phone in the same naming pattern as the company’s recent flagships, though nothing official backs it yet.

A different chip from the first leak

The more interesting detail is the processor. The listing points to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, while the first leak last month pointed to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Gizmochina says the tested unit has 12GB of RAM and runs Android 17, although Motorola could offer other memory configurations. In Geekbench 6, the phone scored 2,669 in single-core and 8,837 in multi-core tests. Those figures can’t be compared directly with Geekbench 7 results.

The rest of the reported spec sheet hasn’t changed. Gizmochina lists a 6.92-inch inner OLED at 2364 x 1728 with a 165Hz refresh rate, plus a 4.97-inch OLED cover screen. The cameras reportedly include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, and two 32MP selfie cameras, one for each screen. Other reported specs include a 5,000mAh battery, 25W wireless charging and a weight of 215g. Colours are rumoured to be Pantone Coriander and Pantone Dark Botanical Garden.

What’s still unknown

Motorola hasn’t confirmed the name, the specs or a launch date. Rumours point to a December launch, and no price has leaked. Nothing has surfaced for the UAE, Saudi Arabia or Egypt either, so regional availability is open.

If you’re weighing up a wide foldable, the iPhone Duo’s UAE pricing is the only local figure we have to compare against so far.

Is the Motorola Razr Flex the final name?

Not confirmed. The name first appeared in leaks and now in a pre-release Geekbench listing, but Motorola hasn’t announced it.

Which chip does the Razr Flex use?

The Geekbench listing shows a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Earlier leaks said Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, so the chip remains unconfirmed until Motorola announces the phone.

When will the Razr Flex launch?

Motorola hasn’t given a date. Rumours point to December, and there’s no word on pricing or UAE availability.
