LG launches OLED W6, Sound Suite and xboom Power in the UAE

LG introduced three very different takes on home entertainment at an event in Dubai: the LG OLED W6 Wallpaper TV, the modular LG Sound Suite with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, and the xboom Power party-speaker range.

The OLED W6 is the visual centrepiece. It is a true wireless OLED TV with a 9mm-class Wallpaper design, a separate Zero Connect Box and support for visually lossless 4K at up to 165Hz. The Sound Suite targets the usual home-theatre problem — speakers that need to live in very specific places — while xboom Power is designed for people who want their living room to become a karaoke venue without applying for a licence.

LG OLED W6 brings the Wallpaper TV back

LG has returned to the Wallpaper TV format with the OLED W6 on LG UAE’s website, first shown at CES 2026 in 77-inch and 83-inch versions. LG describes it as the world’s first certified 4K 165Hz True Wireless TV, with the screen and Zero Connect Box handling wireless video and audio.

The panel is in the 9mm class and is designed to sit close to the wall. The Zero Connect Box moves the inputs away from the screen, although the box and TV still need power, and connected devices still plug into the box. LG says the box can be placed up to 10 metres away, wirelessly connecting to the TV depending on the installation environment.

The W6 uses LG’s Hyper Radiant Colour technology, Brightness Booster Ultra and the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3. LG claims up to 3.9 times the peak brightness of a conventional OLED, alongside Perfect Black, Perfect Colour and Reflection Free Premium certification.

For gaming, the W6 supports 4K at 165Hz, a 0.1ms pixel response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium and ALLM. The wireless link is therefore doing more than removing a few HDMI cables — it is also being positioned as a gaming feature.

LG UAE currently redirects users to retailers rather than posting an AED figure on its website. The model page shows 77-inch and 83-inch options, but no confirmed local price was displayed when checked. Confirm availability and final pricing with LG or its listed UAE retailers before purchase.

LG Sound Suite lets the room decide where speakers go

LG’s second announcement was the Sound Suite, a modular system built around the H7 soundbar, W7 subwoofer and M7 or M5 wireless rear speakers. According to LG and Dolby, the H7 is the first soundbar to support Dolby Atmos FlexConnect.

A presenter in a blue suit stands on stage in front of a large screen displaying LG Sound Suite core speaker components, including models M5, M7, W7, and H7.

FlexConnect is designed for rooms where symmetrical speaker placement is more of a showroom fantasy than a practical option. The system detects where the speakers are positioned, maps the room and calibrates the output for the listening position. Speakers can be placed where the furniture allows, then added to later as the system grows.

ComponentRolePublished details
H7Main soundbarAlpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, front, side and up-firing drivers, woofers and passive radiators
W7SubwooferWireless low-frequency module with an 8-inch woofer
M7Larger rear speakerWireless surround speaker with a woofer and full-range drivers
M5Compact rear speakerWireless surround speaker with a woofer and tweeters

LG says the system can be configured in more than 50 combinations and expanded towards a 13.1.7-channel home theatre. The H7 can also connect to a TV over HDMI, while compatible LG TVs can act as the lead device in supported setups. AI Room Calibration Pro analyses the room, and Sound Follow uses ultra-wideband technology to move the sweet spot with the listener on supported hardware.

The demonstration was built around the idea that home cinema should adapt to the room rather than require the room to be rearranged around the speakers. It is a sensible pitch for apartments, open-plan living rooms and anyone who has already lost an argument with a sofa.

LG did not announce a UAE price for the Sound Suite at the event. US pricing provides context, but should not be treated as UAE pricing: LG lists the H7 at $999.99, the M7 at $399.99, the M5 at $249.99 and the W7 at $599.99 in the US.

xboom Power adds AI-assisted karaoke

The third part of the event was the xboom Power series, made up of the Power 9000, Power 7000 and Power 5000. The speakers are tuned by will.i.am and are aimed at different sizes of gatherings.

ModelContinuous outputIntended use
xboom Power 9000440WLarge parties and outdoor events
xboom Power 7000340WLarge gatherings, patios and outdoor entertainment
xboom Power 5000260WFamily gatherings and smaller celebrations

All three models include AI Karaoke Master, which can reduce vocals from a track so users can sing over the instrumental. They also include dual microphone inputs, a Smart Stand to display lyrics on a phone or tablet, AI lighting that follows the music, and genre-based AI sound processing.

A man in a blue suit stands next to a large speaker system with blue illuminated speakers, holding a microphone. A digital display screen is positioned nearby on a stand, set against a green wall.

The Power series sits above the smaller xboom Stage 501 in LG’s party-speaker line-up. LG has not provided UAE pricing or a local release date for the three Power models, so the wattage is currently more of a guide to the range than a buying recommendation. A 440W speaker is not automatically the right choice for a flat with thin walls and close neighbours.

When will the new LG products be available in the UAE?

LG UAE has a live product page for the OLED W6, with 77-inch and 83-inch sizes listed and pricing directed to retailers. The company did not confirm an AED price for the W6, Sound Suite or xboom Power models during the event. LG’s local retailer listings and product pages are the best places to check as availability changes.

The launch gives LG a three-part answer to home entertainment: a TV designed to disappear into the wall, a sound system that is less demanding about speaker placement, and a party speaker that assumes someone will eventually choose karaoke. The first two reduce clutter. The third is about making more of it.

LG’s earlier OLED W6 reveal covered the TV’s wireless design and UAE release details, while the xboom Stage 501 launch provides context for the company’s karaoke push.
