Lenore Zann, the voice of Rogue in animated X-Men for three decades, has welcomed Inde Navarrette’s X-Men Rogue casting with a video message filmed in Dublin, as reported by IGN.
Navarrette was confirmed as the live-action Rogue at D23 2026 after weeks of rumour, becoming the first actor to play the character in live action since Anna Paquin. The announcement anchored the panel, which revealed the full X-Men movie cast.
A welcome from Dublin
Zann has voiced Rogue since the original 1992 animated series, returned for X-Men ’97 and still plays her in Marvel Rivals. Her message, delivered in Rogue’s Southern drawl, was short and warm:
“Well, hey there, y’all,” she said, channeling Rogue’s instantly recognizable Southern accent. “This here is Lenore Zann a.k.a. Rogue of the X-Men, coming to you today from beautiful Dublin, Ireland. I just want to give a shoutout to Inde Navarrette, the actress who was just named to play Rogue in the upcoming Marvel movie of the X-Men.”

Navarrette, who had earlier said she hoped to play Mystique after meeting director Jake Schreier, replied with two heart emojis: “Hello! What a honor! Thank you for this kind message!” Zann’s answer was a coffee offer once she is back in LA.

The rest of the line-up landed at the same reveal: Adam Driver as Mister Sinister, Maya Boyd as Storm, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.
