Huawei’s Mate XT goes White, and yes it’s a statement

Huawei’s Mate XT is a tri-fold phone that opens into something closer to a small tablet. Now it’s getting a new White finish, joining the existing Black and Red options. Huawei focuses on three things: the very slim tri-fold build, the big 10.2-inch display with multiple folding modes, and hardware flexes like an adjustable-aperture camera and a 5600mAh battery.

White edition design: slim, leather, and a lot of machining

Huawei is positioning the White colourway as the “minimal but premium” option for the Mate XT, with the same overall design language as the other colours.

The Mate XT’s main party trick is the tri-fold layout, which Huawei says enables three different screen sizes depending on how you fold it.
