The GTA 6 PC release date remains unconfirmed, although the game could reach PC sooner than Rockstar’s previous releases. GTA 6 is the subject of VGC commentary rather than a release announcement. VGC’s Andy Robinson said on the VGC Podcast that there is “a bit of noise” around Rockstar moving the PC version forward, partly because of the current hardware market.

That is still commentary, not a release announcement. RespawnFirst reports that the suggestion would represent a shorter wait than Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which launched on consoles before reaching PC.

GTA 6 PC release date remains unconfirmed

Rockstar’s official GTA 6 website lists November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It does not list a PC version or a PC launch date.

The latest suggestion follows an earlier comment from Corsair vice-president Ronald van Veen, who said his understanding was that the game would launch on console in autumn and on PC in early 2026. Corsair later clarified that the remark was speculation, rather than information from Rockstar or Take-Two.

Why the GTA 6 PC release could be different

Rockstar’s previous launches leave plenty of room for a shorter gap. Grand Theft Auto V took about 18 months to reach PC, while Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC roughly a year after its console debut. A faster PC release would give Take-Two another major launch window without waiting several years.

For now, that is the extent of the evidence. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has explained that Rockstar starts with consoles to serve its core audience, while the company has not announced when — or whether — GTA 6 will come to PC.
