The GTA 6 leak saga has escalated. CYBERLEEK, the anonymous group behind this week’s spree of gameplay clips, now says it will release the full build of the game to “millions of gamers” unless Rockstar and Take-Two stop pursuing it.

What the GTA 6 leak threat means
The threat arrived in a statement on the group’s website, claiming it has held the build “for some time” and that copies now sit on drives and servers “in places Take-Two cannot reach”. Should anything happen to the group, it says, the daily choice to keep the game buried would stop being made.
If anything happens to it, if it ever misses a morning, the cancellations end on their own. Nobody has to press anything. The release simply stops being canceled, and within days, GTA 6 will be running on the personal computers of millions of gamers around the globe.
CYBERLEEK statement
What has leaked so far
The statement lands the same day the group posted its seventh leaked clip — more hypercar footage and a brief look inside the strip club — and a week before the GTA 6 Extended Look premieres on Netflix on 27 August. Take-Two has subpoenaed Microsoft and Discord in the hunt for the leaker, and the company lost roughly $2.8bn in market value across two days after the 18 August breach.
Nothing story-critical has surfaced so far. The leaks have been gameplay mechanics and open-world footage rather than story components, which Insider Gaming notes is the basis of the running theory that CYBERLEEK is a stunt — possibly a Rockstar marketing campaign with the leaker as an in-game entity. The group’s stated cause is fighting the industry’s move to digital-only; its plan to do so is the most digital leak imaginable.
Take-Two and Rockstar have not commented. GTA 6 remains set for a 19 November release, with pre-orders open.
Who is CYBERLEEK?
CYBERLEEK is the anonymous entity behind the recent wave of GTA 6 leaks, including the leaked gameplay clips and map data. Its identity is unknown. Take-Two has subpoenaed Microsoft and Discord in an attempt to trace it.
Does CYBERLEEK actually have the full GTA 6 build?
The group says it does, claiming copies are stored across servers worldwide. Some footage suggests direct access to a playable build, but nothing story-critical has leaked so far and the claim is unverified.
Will GTA 6 still launch on 19 November?
Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented on the threat. The 19 November release date and existing pre-orders stand.
