Google Pixel Tablet may be discontinued after Google removes it from the Store

Google appears to have discontinued the Google Pixel Tablet after removing the three-year-old device from its online Store and taking “Tablet” out of the Store’s product menu. Google has not confirmed that production has ended, but the remaining signs point in that direction.

Google Pixel Tablet disappears from the Store

The product page has been removed from the Google Store, according to Engadget, after the tablet had already been marked out of stock. Jetstream also reported that the product page and the Store’s tablet menu had disappeared.

Google has not announced the Pixel Tablet’s cancellation. Engadget said it had asked Google for confirmation and was waiting for a response when it published its report.

The Store still lists some Pixel Tablet accessories, but availability is thin. Engadget reported that the Pixel Tablet Case and Charging Speaker Dock were no longer in stock, while Jetstream found the Speck StandyShell case available. Accessory stock can change, and it does not confirm continued tablet production.

Google Pixel Tablet availability and alternatives

Google announced the Pixel Tablet at I/O 2023 and launched it on 20 June that year. The tablet started at $899 with a charging speaker dock, which was central to Google’s pitch for the device. Amazon no longer lists the model for sale, while Best Buy marks its new-condition listing as unavailable.

Google has not said whether a replacement is coming. The company’s current Store navigation lists Pixel phones, watches, earbuds and smart home products, but no tablet category or Pixel Tablet listing.

For UAE buyers, Google does not sell the Pixel Tablet directly through a UAE Google Store. Remaining retailer stock and replacement accessories should be checked before buying, as both may become harder to find if Google has ended production.
