Samsung’s next flagship tablets have appeared on Google’s supported devices list. The Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra show up there in Wi-Fi and 5G variants, the clearest certification signal yet that a launch announcement is close.

Galaxy Tab S12 model numbers and what they tell us

The listings confirm model numbers more than they reveal them. The Tab S12+ appears as SM-X840 (Wi-Fi) and SM-X846B, SM-X846E, SM-X846N and SM-X848U (5G, the last aimed at the US). The Tab S12 Ultra runs SM-X940 (Wi-Fi) and SM-X946B/N (5G).

Samsung has said nothing official about either tablet. The trail so far is certification records from India, South Korea and the FCC, gathered by Notebookcheck.

Both tablets are expected to run MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. The Ultra is tipped to carry over the 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and 11,600 mAh battery from the Tab S11 Ultra; the Plus is expected to keep a 12.4-inch panel with a 10,600 mAh cell.

When will the Galaxy Tab S12 launch?

Samsung has not confirmed a date. The Tab S11 series arrived in September 2025, and IFA opens in Berlin next month. A similar window for the S12 series would surprise no one.

What it means if you’re shopping in the UAE

Samsung tablets are among the most popular premium tablets in the region, and the current range sets the pricing floor. The Tab S11 starts at AED 3,199 on Samsung’s UAE store, while the Tab S11 Ultra sells for AED 3,699–4,205 on Amazon.ae.

Expect the S12+ to slot between those, roughly AED 3,200–3,900, and the S12 Ultra to open around AED 4,000–5,000. Those are estimates — Samsung has said nothing about price, and UAE pricing tends to land at launch.

The S12 series should reach the UAE with the global launch, through Samsung Gulf and the usual retailers. The Tab S11 Ultra has been on sale for a year; the upgrade cycle is due.
