Casio Middle East & Africa has launched a new G-SHOCK x EVANGELION collaboration watch in the UAE, timed for the anime’s 30th anniversary. It’s based on the chunky GA-110 and leans hard into Evangelion’s iconography, with original artwork by mechanical designer Ikuto Yamashita. If you saw it at Sole DXB, yes, that one.

What’s launching in the UAE

Casio is selling a special-edition G-SHOCK x Evangelion watch in the UAE, and it’s available now through selected channels.

This watch is designed by Ikuto Yamashita, the mechanical designer tied closely to Evangelion, with artwork made specifically for this collaboration.

The GA-110 is a loud platform, so it makes sense Casio used it again: it’s big enough to turn the whole watch into a canvas for story cues. The press release frames it as pulling from Evangelion’s “visual language and symbolism”, which is a fancy way of saying: if you know the series, you’ll spot things.
