Fortnite FNAF crossover: what is confirmed

Epic’s trailer describes the Fazbear Band taking over Battle Royale and challenges players to face the animatronic bosses and survive the night. The pizzeria had already appeared under construction during Fortnite’s current Override season, but the reveal is the first confirmation that it will be part of Fortnitemares.

The Fortnite FNAF crossover follows other game and animation additions to the battle royale, including Kafka and Blade from Honkai: Star Rail and the South Park crossover, which added five-player squads. Epic’s announcement confirms the location and boss encounters, but does not explain boss rewards or whether they will feature in a separate mode.

When does the Fortnite FNAF crossover arrive?

Fortnitemares 2026 begins on 1 October. Epic has not given the FNAF content a separate release date, so the event’s start should not be read as confirmation that the pizzeria, boss fights and any further crossover content will all go live at once. The reveal also does not provide a shop schedule or pricing.

Players can expect the familiar animatronics to be part of the seasonal map and its encounters, but details beyond that remain unannounced. More information will need to come from Epic as Fortnitemares approaches.

Are Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy confirmed as player skins?

No. The announcement describes them as boss encounters, but does not confirm playable outfits, styles or a cosmetic release schedule.

Will defeating an animatronic boss let players control it?

That mechanic is not confirmed in the reveal. Epic has not explained what players receive after a boss fight or whether any takeover mechanic is planned.
