Dyson Amino Launches in UAE: First Scalp Treatment Uses Farm-Grown Barley

Dyson Beauty has launched Dyson Amino, its first leave-in scalp bubble treatment that combines farm-grown barley with skincare technology. According to Dyson Beauty's announcement, the treatment is clinically proven to reduce excess oils by 62% and visible flakes by 88%, marking the brand's entry into dedicated scalp care for February 2026.

What makes Dyson Amino different

The lightweight foam-to-serum formula centres around Dyson's Amino11 blend — barley grown on Dyson's own farms combined with 11 amino acids. This isn't marketing speak: the barley is cultivated specifically for its amino acid profile to support scalp barrier function.

"Farming and beauty may seem worlds apart, but both are rooted in science," says James Dyson, Founder and Chief Engineer. "By growing barley on our farms, we've harnessed its amino acid profile to support scalp barrier function and hydration."

The treatment also includes niacinamide and Ectoin Natural for barrier enhancement, plus caffeine for stimulation — ingredients more commonly found in premium skincare.

Clinical results and how it works

Dyson Amino delivers measurable results: up to a 65% immediate increase in scalp moisture, alongside oil and flake reduction. With continued use, it reduces hair fall by 63% and improves hair density.

The application is straightforward — part damp or dry hair into sections, apply 8-10 pumps directly to the scalp, and massage in. The mesh pump oxygenates the formula for even distribution without leaving hair greasy or sticky (94% of users confirmed this).

It's designed for all hair and scalp types, addressing the most common concerns of oily or itchy scalps that often indicate an impaired scalp barrier.

Completing the Dyson ecosystem

Dyson Amino completes the brand's three-stage hair care approach. You now have Dyson Chitosan for styling protection, Dyson Omega for conditioning, and Amino for scalp care — all designed to work with Dyson's styling tools like the Airwrap multi-styler.

Daniel Cross, Managing Director of Dyson Farming, explains the farming connection: "We produce staples for the UK at scale: wheat, barley, potatoes and peas. Our variety of crops and highly skilled agronomy team allow us to research key ingredients that elevate Dyson hair formulations."

Price and availability in UAE

Dyson Amino costs Dhs 249 and will be available soon at www.dyson.ae and Dyson Demo Stores across the UAE. In Dubai, find it at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Hills Mall, and the Terminal 3 pop-up. Abu Dhabi locations include Yas Mall and The Galleria Mall.
