Benihana Signature is now open at Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel in Dubai, bringing the chain’s live teppanyaki grills, a dedicated sushi bar and a mixed-drinks list to the hotel’s dining floor.
The brand dates to 1964, when Rocky Aoki opened the first Benihana in New York. The formula — chefs cooking on steel grills in front of the table, with the knife work and the fire — is largely unchanged, and Oaks’ own description leans into it: “expert chefs perform at your table with precision, flair, and fire.”
Benihana Signature is the latest named-brand kitchen to land in the city, after OTHER’s fire-first opening in Dar Al Wasl and MEI’s Chinese-Japanese room at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam.

Teppanyaki comes as three set menus, priced in AED with the 10% service charge, 7% municipality fee and 5% VAT included:

The protein ladder runs from chicken thigh and Norwegian salmon on the entry set to lobster tail and Japanese A5 wagyu at the top. The sushi bar lists rolls from AED 55 (crispy mushroom) to AED 125 (the Godzilla, a torched-wagyu number), a Tokusen sashimi and nigiri selection at AED 330, and a la carte plates from AED 35. The signature mixed drinks are AED 60 each; sake starts at AED 175.
